I'm sure the bore is just as cratered as the rest of the gun. You're pretty much better off with a slingshot in terms of accuracy imo.
Its an AK. Accuracy via quantity.
Since I'm not selling my AR I figured I'd ask here because I'm a cheapskate - does anyone have a milspec Magpul AR stock they want to part with? Preferably adjustable.

Check out other gun forums too. In the parts section of their market place, there is at least 1 or 2 users just selling nothing but parts for AR15/AK on the first page. Check a forum that is specifically in your state for best results.
I accidentally took a really nice picture of my Mauser with my phone

Not sure how I feel about this "modernized" SVD...

It looks too much like an AR :/
But that said, I'd love to have an SVD. Are SVD's/PSL's available in any capacity these days?

Closest you'll get to a PSL is a 7.62x54r VEPR
Closest you'll get to an SVD is any other rotating bolt, short stroke piston operated, magazine fed semi auto rifle in 7.62x51.
I just want an svt-40

Uh no
The closest he'll get to a PSL is a PSL. They're fairly common in America at anywhere from $1200 to $1800 depending on where you are.
Closest he'll get to an SVD is any number of SVD clones or lookalike rifles (such as Tiger SVD's or NDM-86's) ranging from $3000 to $9000
You can also sometimes find actual SVD rifles for upwards of $12,000

You can find the chiense SVD's for around 5kish, they're actually more rare since less were important. Surprising they've been generally touted as better quality.

I said that because PSLs are hideously expensive for what they are (even the magazines are expensive and hard to find now) and a VEPR 54r is a better gun for the money.
As far as the SVDs go, unless you want to spend $5-8K on one, there are other rifles that operate in the same fashion that are cheaper and more available, although not quite as iconic.
His question was "are they available in any capacity these days?", so sure, anything is "available" if you want to spend an arm and a leg for it.

Handout from a House of Representatives briefing.
Ok so i'm about to go to my first gun show, what percentage of the people there are gonna be jerky selling TEOTWAWKI loons. This is in california.

This is essentially what I hear when someone anti gun tries telling me guns are bad.

Expect at least 2-3 jerky sellers, 1 Beanie Baby seller and half a dozen or more people that sell weird stuff like "fine" china or hokey roadside shoppe stuff like dreamcatchers. Expect at least 4 guys who have bought 1-2 tables and fill them with a bunch of niche guns/merchandise and refuse to sell any of it or even let you touch it. Expect ammunition with 30% or greater markup, including all the stuff Walmart would normally carry, often times with the Walmart price tags still on them.
The best gun show is a show with one table selling like 4-5 guns that are actually personal guns. Gun shows are just all dealers
Yet I always go
Got my Marlin 1895 GBL today
$707 after tax. $660 before tax.
Did not get any ammo for it because I couldn't afford the $36 for the box. :saddowns:
The gun stores here usually give you a box or two of ammo for free with any purchase. When I bought my M10 I had to get a bag to carry out all the boxes of 12ga they gave me and I still haven't burned it all up. :v:

Was it that really old Remington you bought? I thought you were still afraid to shoot it due to the whole modern ammo vs older ammo.
Yeah. They loaded me up.
I've never been afraid to shoot that one, it's the double barrel I'm worried about. The M10 is just finicky with full plastic shells, it's not unsafe with them. Haven't really determined the SxS' safety with modern shells so I've just been shooting really light practice birdshot through it.
