How long are the safety courses in Ausland? In Canada it's 8-10 hours per licensing level, 12 hours if you do both licenses at the same time according to this, but I do know they'd recently lengthened the course times. While it used to be 8-5 Saturday and Sunday for both levels, some are doing 8-8, and others are doing a Friday evening portion to keep it 8-5 on the weekends. [editline]16th April 2016[/editline] The only guns I've ever seen electric triggers on are the stupidly expensive Olympic target pistols, and even then they sell versions both with and without them here. Electric triggers are a gimmick, you're not likely to see them anywhere.
For Category A/B, which is longarms (Bolts, pump action RIFLES, break-action shotguns, stuff like that and not semi-autos and such) mine took 2 and a half on average. I did two. [editline]17th April 2016[/editline]
Picking up my Jungle Carbine this after noon. It's going to need a lot of loving.
Post pics, I love the look of the Jungle Carbine.
Damn, I kinda suck :v: EDIT: Sorry it's sideways.
Picking up my Jungle Carbine this after noon. It's going to need a lot of loving.
RIP your shoulder.
Which one of you guys was the dude I ran into at Shot Show in 2014? We took a pic with the IV8888 crew just before Barry passed away.
How do you reload it though? Wouldn't the first few shots be garbage due to lack of velocity/accuracy?
I'm more worried about it firing the entire cartridge. Electric gyrojet when? We can get Dardick to make them. But yeah, the first few shots would be useless. Australians designing guns. The idea is neat, I guess it might be able to work as a "smarter" version of ERA? A couple barrels, each holding three or so rounds of a giant shotshell-style cartridge to fire a layer of high-velocity pellets at incoming artillery could perhaps be a way to make reactive armor useful for more than one projectile. Also hey, I'm new here.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/OT4HzF4.jpg[/t] And there she is. I gave it a quick scrub down and oiled it up. I'll need to research what I should do about browned bluing. I also discovered one of the trigger guard screws is missing as is the extractor spring.
Which one of you guys was the dude I ran into at Shot Show in 2014? We took a pic with the IV8888 crew just before Barry passed away.
That was me, still have the pictures. [t]http://i.imgur.com/fnScWuY.jpg[/t]
That was me, still have the pictures. [t]http://i.imgur.com/fnScWuY.jpg[/t]
Oh my which one is UncleJimmema is he the really awkward lanky one in the blue stripey shirt? Please say yes :v:
Oh my which one is UncleJimmema is he the really awkward lanky one in the blue stripey shirt? Please say yes :v:
Pretty sure he's on the left. And wearing a kick-ass beard, like always.
Aren't Remington 1911s around that price and not bad?
A lot of people knock the finish on the R1, but I really liked mine.
I'm also looking at a Rock Island Armory Tac Standard Full - .45. Anyone have any experience with them, aside from Kamwi's with their 9mm? My only problem with Rock Island, is they don't have any retailers in my area, and I've never purchased a gun online and don't really want to, either.

I need to really stop attaching peoples profile pictures to how I imagine them in my head.

any tips for convincing the sheriff to let me closed carry?
any tips for convincing the sheriff to let me closed carry?
Do you know what a CCW permit is? What state?
Do you know what a CCW permit is? What state?
The state of confusion, I'm thinking.
california
california
Then you're not going to get one.
california
I'm so sorry. There's always karate/judo lessons.
california
Just go find a course on debating/negotiating. That's essentially all you can do in CA if you would ever need to use a CCW.
Anyone heard of Sabre Optics? [editline]18th April 2016[/editline] Or rather, can anyone recommend a decent .22LR scope that doesn't break the bank?
Anyone heard of Sabre Optics? [editline]18th April 2016[/editline] Or rather, can anyone recommend a decent .22LR scope that doesn't break the bank?
Define "break the bank". I can buy a Leupold VX1 with a single days wages.
Define "break the bank". I can buy a Leupold VX1 with a single days wages.
Would you recommend that scope? That would work perfectly for my budget.
Would you recommend that scope? That would work perfectly for my budget.
Anything by Leupold is worth the buy imo. It might be a bit over the top for a .22, but looking at flagdog, I don't think you are going to get much better.
I've got one on my CZ452 in 17HMR. It's a very nice scope. I have been told however that scopes of the same quality can be had cheaper. If you do get one, order it from the US instead of buying it in Australia. It will save you $100+.
If you do get one, order it from the US instead of buying it in Australia. It will save you $100+.
Through an importer or online (can you even order rifle optics online without customs fucking you over?)? If online, do you have a website to recommend?
Through an importer or online (can you even order rifle optics online without customs fucking you over?)? [editline]18th April 2016[/editline] Military marked red dot sights and laser sights are I think.
Scopes aren't on the customers restricted import list. [editline]18th April 2016[/editline] Military marked red dot sights and laser sights are I think.
Alright, sweet. I might be getting a JW15 from my uncle but it's got that really cheapo Chinese scope for like $30 so I might switch it out for the Leupold in the event that I do get the rifle off him.
Looking it up laser sights for "weapons of war" are a restricted import. Red dots aren't. [editline]18th April 2016[/editline]
Alright, sweet. Buy a scope in the $100 to $150 range for that.
