Yeah my cats act cute sometimes but mostly they just sleep and get fur everywhere. Dogs are cooler, but my parents are like "I don't want to pick up its shit!" Even though you do pretty much the same for cats. Oh well
I've got a 3 year old St. Bernard, and he's great. Got him as a puppy. Here's a pic

cattes own
my cat is sleeping on the floor next to my bed.
I couldn't get a dog, I've grown too used to cat routines and dog routines are fairly different.
My cat likes to stroke his fur against my legs when I'm sitting in front of the computer, or jump up to my lap when I'm playing 360 and cuddle with my feet. It's cute. But I guess he will only do that as a young cat, though. I wish he had another cat to play with when no one is home, but he mostly sleeps so I guess that's okay. Plus he has hundreds of toys.
Eventhough cats are fun and games, nothing beats the warm welcome you get from dogs. I miss my doggie.
Meet Oscar.

He can sit on chairs.
You might want to thumb that.
I have one tuxedo cat, her name is Mitty Kitty. Was going to be Mitten Kitten but then we thought she isn't gonna be a kitten forever, so yeah. But we all just call her kitty, cat, fuzz/furball, dumbutt, fuzzbutt when she gets somewhere dusty and has dust all over her ass, and my personal one is weirdo.
She's about 11-12 years old (lost track) and is still as active, healthy and playful as a kitten.
She's a 100% indoor cat, not allowed outside.
Strangely enough her tail doesn't have a white tip like most other tuxedos, just plain jet black. Her coat is beautiful and is always shiny.

Edit: And she has some of the longest, thickest and most amount of whiskers I have ever seen on a cat

That dog.
My dad has a scottie/westie terrier called oscar. It looks the same but it's black
My cat woke me up at 9 AM. He jumped up onto my bed, sat on my chest and starred at me with the biggest cat eyes I've ever seen. It was scary.
Then he started to cuddle with me so it was all right.
I got 1 Miniature Australian sheperd, 2 Domestic shorthaired cats, and 2 Guinea pigs.
I got 2 pictures of both my cats, and trying to get 1 of my dog, and a picture of both my guinea pigs.

My cat, cornelius after the scientist from Planet of the Apes.
He just get's called Mr Spud now because he sits around like a vegtable.
Okay, well, here's some basic backstory.
We got the dog in May 2011. We loved her for about a week. Well, they did. I've been fond of her forever, but recently my family has became rather abusive.
They constantly kick and throw around the dog for the silliest things, like lying down in the laundry room in the corner. I simply don't feel like she is safe here, plus my 4 y/o sister just loves to strangle the damn thing and passes it off as "playing slightly rough".
I don't want to but I want to give her away for safety reasons. Obviously she's not safe here, not to mention I constantly have violent, randomly-occurring thoughts about hitting the dog. I guess my family's growing on me.
So what do I do, Facepunch? Talk to my parents about giving her away to someplace a bit safer?
One of our cats, Ginger.

Enjoy a video of my cat and girlfriend.
When I lived with my mom and brother, we adopted a kitten being given away. I named her Rhee, but everyone in the house assumed it was short for "retard" and was a terrible name, so at her first vet visit she was christened "Kitty 1" by my mother (Rhee's sister, owned by my older brother, became Kitty 2. They think they're hilarious). The only people who call her Rhee are my friends, myself, and my fiance. She was a lovely little kitty, but my mother kept her locked up in her bedroom all the time. The poor thing would be sticking her paws under the door to try to get out and she would just sit there and laugh. "Awww how cute!"
She ended up being a very reserved, hateful kitty. She hates being picked up, is skittish, and only purrs when she's grooming the end of her tail. Even though she hates me, I still love that brat.
Now that I live with my fiance, I own an adorable kitten rescued from the river (yeah, someone actually chucked a garbage bag of kittens into the river around here) that we named Honey, although his mother and sister insist her name is Daisy. She's a cute little kitty.. And spoiled. She meows constantly until someone picks her up, then purrs. She loves to be held. Usually, she'll pop up and knead the crap out of me while I'm trying to sleep, which is painful, but adorable. My fiance's sister insists Honey is hers, but she never pays attention to her. By the time she was older than 2 months she said Honey was too big to be cute anymore and therefore didn't want her. Good news for me!
There are also two dogs in the house, a purebred mini pinscher named Bouncer and a little chow-chow/coyote/??? brat named Boots.
