Newest fisticuffs on Vessel. 3 second audio desync.
I swear I have never seen a channel have this many problems with audio delay so badly so often.
Didn't someone here use that picture of Woolie and create a shirt that read "Welcome to the Woolie Hole" that got sent to the Super Best Mailbox?
Mailbox 6B, that's when they get the other Facepunch box too.
Podcast up. No vid yet. Special guest: [sp]Xavier Woods[/sp]

2 hours though featuring that hugest of a guest yet? C'mon
I dunno if it was kayfabe or not, but my absolute favorite part of this week's podcast was [sP]Austin realizing that Woolie is black. An hour into the podcast. 20 minutes after Woolie extended an invitation to the Black Otaku Council. God fuckin damn.[/sp]

I love it when they mark out over LU. Austin was great, now they need Omega.
Yeah, alright, these two hours are great
Haven't even finished yet
Jesus fuck Pat's [sp]search for a trainer[/sp] had me in goddamn stitches.
Their dying hope in trying to find a ring in Kayl's apartment was also great
On the podcast, Pat admitted that at the start of the last Omikron session,[sp]he literally started to cry because he thinks the game is that bad.[/sp]He also thinks that Omikron is[sp],hands down, the worst game they have ever played on the channel.[/sp] :wideeye:
Based on what I've read in the comments of the Omikron videos it seems like most of their problems stem from them not expecting a David Cage game to have grinding (which the fighting apparently does utilize).
Yeah, grinding that only actually appears in a janky ass tutorial for the fighting that you have no reason to ever use.
Jesus fuck Pat's [sp]search for a trainer[/sp] had me in goddamn stitches.
[sp]Pat let out the most genuinely distressed "GODDAMNIT!" during that part, it was great (18:30)[/sp]
What does Woolie do, saves the omikron playthrough because he actually tries, and when he wins matt starts to like it a little but doesn't want to admit it. Their first victory beyond [sp]the tourney and training room[/sp]
Really go look at the Jesse Cox playthrough, the game rewards you for not half assing it.
There's a [sp]map of the city in your inventory when you're outside[/sp], there's a [sp]memory system in your inventory that doesn't cost anything[/sp], the cost for help can be reduced our circumvented by saving first then asking for help then restarting.
I only pity Woolie because he's on the back seat navigating and not leading the controls.
Even with their jojo review, they got shit coming from a community that loves jojo and hates david cage. I hate david cage on every other game beyond his first one and I'm quite sure detroit will be terrible as well. However, I know better and with enough confidence to say omikron is the only good david cage game.
Oh if Pat want's to complain, he should take over the reboot playthrough.

dude the game is a damn trainwreck, why are you so intent on defending it at every opportunity
dude the game is a damn trainwreck, why are you so intent on defending it at every opportunity
Defending it from people saying it's a worse game then what it is, I've been at the opposite saying mass effect 3 is a bad game among people who loved it even the endings so I don't love everything I touch. I put Omikron next to Deus Ex or System Shock as the red headed step child who practiced witchcraft out of the dnd session in the computer club, not perfect but has charm that outshine it's frail body, like deadly premonition.
An example, I'm pointing someone at fault for getting their head stuck between the railing of a stair case then spazing about instead of calming down even listening to someone supervising. I'm not going to back down to people saying it's the stair case's fault.
Jesse Cox's play through is a far better example of the game, just forget this playthrough for the time being and watch the 8 parts he did and you can see a better example both good and bad the game is.
And if you go, "ah okay I see where you're coming at, but it doesn't look like a game I would enjoy" fine by me.
If you go, "this is the worst piece of shit I've ever seen if my entire life, because, reasons" no you're full of it.
It's a game, so I'm not so rabid video game zellot, so keep in mind I don't see it as the end of the world I'm trying to fight off with words or flip my shit out because Link is a boy.

[sp]your health goes above 100 to 200, you start with barely any health at the beginning.[/sp]
[sp]them using a gamepad for the fps mode on a game that's pre halo 1, maybe woolie's overwatch setup might be best overall, but never liked the fps sections, except for the firing range.[/sp]
Okay seriously though how the FUCK can you blame them for this. The boss is nearly hitscan, the controls are fucking terrible, the weapon does no damage but you have almost no health. There is no defending this, absolutely none, this is one of the worst FPS sections in any video game I've ever seen.
Also you're suddenly in hell just cause ????????????????????
Jesus christ this LP is the best. Pat's repeated meltdowns are beautiful.
I think the controls are only terrible because they're using some weird fuckin joy2key setup to play an old PC game with a gamepad, and they couldn't fit all the keys on it.
The rest of the game is still awful though, doesn't matter how good you are at it or how much you defend it, the "oh you're just playing a video game but for us it's the real world!!!" thing is irredeemable imo. There's breaking the fourth wall for fun like Deadpool does it, and then there's this shit

Funny how from back then, when David Cage failed to such a bad level at doing the fourth wall breaking stuff, all the way up to Detroit, where Cage thinks that because the androids in his story are supposed to be the good guys, his story is super unique, he has yet to get any real grasp of how any genre or any writing style works even one bit. It's like he reads the wikipedia page on a genre or some writing style and then assumes he knows everything he needs to know about it and thinks he can employ it really well.

He lives!
That boss is shit and controls are terrible, but their control setup is shit as well, and only makes it worse. You're supposed to be able to strafe IIRC, and strafing is a key thing in fast paced FPS.
Subjecting poor Mattchew to that is terrible and they should just let Pat take care of FPS sections with the M+KB or something.
I blame Woolie. He even said in the latest video that he didn't check the FPS control menu. There's even a jump button in FPS mode meant to jump over obstacles like lava :goodjob:
I'm installing the game right now to see if it's as bad as the videos show. I'm pretty sure it is, but I want to feel the hot garbage of the only david cage game I own. (that i got for free mind you)
I played that game on PC and I can attest that M+KB for the fps sections does not actually help.
It's just as janky, if not worse, because you'd expect it to work like a normal FPS but it breaks even further.
Then again, Indigo Prophecy's PC port was so bad it was near impossible to get through the simon QTEs and even some of the regular motions. I remember getting stuck at the fucking mop at the start of the game because the game would not register a basic back and forth movement.
I played that game on PC and I can attest that M+KB for the fps sections does not actually help.
I think the adventure controls work better with mouse and keyboard. I can actually move around and do what I want with not that much fuss and relatively quickly.
My issue is that tank controls feel like garbage when you stop dead in your tracks and it takes the character literally a quarter of a second to respond to movement commands.
And the fighting is mediocre, and once you've trained one level higher than the lowers level, you could easily punch 1 2 kick 1 2 enemies to death. Of course, this depends on how well you've set your controls.
[editline]23rd September 2016[/editline]
I also forgot to mention that while they were searching for rings in part 13, they fucking had 5 of them stored in their multiplan storage. They're in there from the beginning of the game.
And I remember them just ignoring it for some reason. :v:
