I got it yesterday (thanks to their recommendations, again) and been having a blast, the characters are funny, runs better than the first one, hacking is more complex and even the multiplayer/invasion thing got improved (you don't need to pick a mission to hack someone, you just come across people in your game that you can hack or ignore).

yall should listen to the podcast on liams verdict on the game. He goes a little bit into his opinion on the game as a whole.
Basically it leaves you wanting more out of the characters. Like, they only give you a taste of their personalities and then before you really begin to care the game's done.

I love SSX3 and On Tour, but didn't care for the PS3 SSX, would Steep be something for me?
Probably Steep would be the closest but not wackiest snowboard extreme videogame, so i have some hopes for this game.

Depends on why you liked SSX3 but not the new SSX. I didn't like the SSX 2012 as much because it removed the memorable and wacky levels and audience members of the original games in favor of realistic topographical data from real mountains and a really desolate atmosphere.
It seems like Steep is really similar to SSX 2012 in that regard, so if you don't really like the realism of it then it may not be your cup of tea. For me though, it's been so long since I've played a snowboarding game and done hilariously brutal bails, so I definitely want to at least try it out.

I'm just worried about Steep getting stale pretty quickly. SSX 2012 made a really good decision by introducing a new gimmick on each mountain to vary up the gameplay each time, which I remember was really fun
