It'll have to depend on the game; I know for sure I'll want to see his insights on Automata. Plus, he's still young and can be good at games In any case:
something something punished liam [editline]11th January 2017[/editline] or liquid
Will get hyped when he plays Nioh and Nier, can't wait
not to be rude, but why couldn't liam take time off and then come back like once a month or so for specials then quit altogether? I understand the anxiety, but wouldn't it one feel better spreading their sources of income out?

I doubt he left souly due to the assholes who would comment "Liam fucking sucks" and the video schedules.
Sooo he quit because of serious anxiety issues...and immediately went into streaming? That sounds suspect as shit. Dude quit for more $$$.
Sooo he quit because of serious anxiety issues...and immediately went into streaming? That sounds suspect as shit. Dude quit for more $$$.
That doesn't make any sense. If he did it for more money then why wouldn't he stream while keeping the job at sbf?
That doesn't make any sense. If he did it for more money then why wouldn't he stream while keeping the job at sbf?
Liam quitting the channel is actually an elaborate money laundering scheme. He got the inspiration while he and Matt were taking turns decking Paige.

Look at that schedule, thats a fuckton of streaming. If he couldn't handle doing youtube every now and then with his close friends then how is someone with serious anxiety issues gonna fully commit to being a fulltime streamer. He's either incredibly naive or jumping ship for a better financial future. He was the lowest on the totem pole in the Zaibatsu and he'll make far far more being a fulltime twitch streamer.
After all of this I'm strongly suspecting that people are underestimating the editing phase of the process. Because you know what streaming doesn't have? Editing. If he thinks he can handle a full schedule of streaming, then we can assume that the recording process wasn't the problem.

Either way there's something we don't know, and people seem to assume that the entire LP process is a piss-easy job that they personally could shit out in their sleep so why do you get to act all special and pretend that it's hard and stressful, and therefore if anything happens it must be because of drama or selfishness.
All members of the best friends team have to keep up with a schedule of videos and podcasts, while also editing both of these. They have to work together in the same space for extended times and also have to deal with being in a fairly public eye most of the time with a community that is either shitting on their abilities or accusing them of some kind of conspiracy (just like the game grumps thread). Meanwhile Twitch streaming is just playing some games at home and interacting with whoever's watching. nah but your right m8, its all a big conspiracy and you're definitely not part of the problem :tinfoil:

Fade in to title card / title animation then footage then fade out to outro card. Finding good points to cut each episode is probably the longest process since they don't exactly stress over their audio sync

Editing could be a significant problem, or it could be irrelevant. Is it editing? Is it the schedule? Is it a completely unknown and personal factor we know nothing about and can't really judge as a result? We don't know. I just prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt rather than pick the most cynical theory.
I still think they should just pay a dude to do the editing for them because its not like their edits are deeply personal things its just 20-30 chunks that (usually) follow natural lulls in the recording (besides the couple dozen times they've just cut themselves off in the edit) and they seem to constantly struggle with it. They're big enough to afford giving someone minimum wage to cut videos for them and hell it could even be an opportunity for them to take on more ambitious ideas [editline]11th January 2017[/editline]
I agree, which is why I ultimately put it down to the fact that we don't know enough about the situation. [editline]11th January 2017[/editline] Its just as someone who follows other youtubers who's edit games are on point and as someone who's done quite a bit of basic video editing (mainly music videos and similar stuff that's very reliant on proper syncing and a LOT of cuts) their editing always makes me angry :v:
This might just be me, but I have 0 interest in watching Liam by himself. I wish him the best, but I don't think I could really watch anyone play a game by themselves.
2BFP is the LPer I've followed the longest but I think particular combinations work well, like Beaglerush's XCOM games (because he's a savant and seems to know the game better than anyone, even those who made it) and Pat Stares At (WHEN'S PAT STARES AT) He did already give us a schedule which, admittedly, is something the best friends never managed. I want to support him, kinda breaks my heart that he's only gotten 300 or so favs on that tweet. Maybe it's for the best, so he gets a different fanbase entirely and doesn't remain "The Ex-Best Friend Who Streams Now" [editline]11th January 2017[/editline]
I still think they should just pay a dude to do the editing for them because its not like their edits are deeply personal things its just 20-30 chunks that (usually) follow natural lulls in the recording (besides the couple dozen times they've just cut themselves off in the edit) and they seem to constantly struggle with it. It's not rocket surgery. I'm not asking for much, just sync the video and audio real good and make it so the game volume goes up when they're not talking. [sp]also most channels with a dedicated editor have tons of editing shit going on after gamegrumps' barry's WACKY VIDEO ANTICS and it detracts from the game imo[/sp]
I'll be honest, I think solo streaming is a lot more demanding and stressful than working with a multi-person LP channel. I hope Liam can actually take it on.
I'll be honest, I think solo streaming is a lot more demanding and stressful than working with a multi-person LP channel. I hope Liam can actually take it on.
I was thinking about this and looking at his schedule and I disagree. He's not streaming all that often and it's only demanding if you pay close attention to chat and don't have moderators. Compare that to recording, editing, uploading and back end of a youtube channel, I think this is much easier.
There's also this [editline]11th January 2017[/editline] Also now he won't have to deal with the "fans" who hated the LPs he was in, they simply won't watch his videos now
Did people really *hate* Liam's LPs? I'll admit I don't pay attention to the subreddit, but if I was skipping an LP it was because of the game, not because of who was playing it.
The only thing I didn't like about Liam was his tendency to set the game audio of all of his LPs to 20%, so if you actually want to hear the game audio you need to have the commentary blowing out your ears. Bad game audio is the only reason why I didn't watch the No More Heroes 2 and more recently the Castlevania run.

I knew he was the least popular best friend but I don't see a lot of hate for him.
i liked liam the most
Liam was probably consistently my favourite. I liked his humour, agreed with his opinions a lot, and liked his positivity. If I had to evict one of the four, Liam would have not have been up for debate. I don't like to get into picking a least favourite though, that's never a good train of conversation. Plus I wouldn't be able to pick anyway, they're all good.
i liked liam the most
Yeah me too. I feel like I'd find him the easiest to talk to in real life. that, and he was the only one to reply to my tweets :v:
They all have their strengths.
woolie would be in the shitcan if i had to pick though i love him to death, but seriously being put in a position where one had to go, well you had a good run you lying pie stealing animal
i liked liam the most
I didn't really get the hate, sure he was a gun jumper but then it's not exactly like the rest of them are stellar at playing games. Particularly Matt who seems to have no sense of direction at all. Their shitness is part of their charm.
