theres very little wrong with his build overall, he just opted for a weapon that trades damage for safety and he can't go lightning/holy/fire yet to offset the lack of scaling; that and i believe the gaping dragon is strong against piercing damage but im not 100% on that
The Gaping dragon isn't strong against pierce, the Pike is just a super weak weapon damage-wise and physical defense is subtractive meaning if your weapon is too weak you'll do jack shit for damage.
Watching Woolie be awful at Dark Souls is making me want to give it a shot, is the Xbox version worth dusting off my 360 for (I've heard the horror stories about Blighttown) or should I go for PC with dsfix and all that stuff?
The PC version doesn't really suffer in Blighttown as much as long as DSFix is installed. But my understanding is the consoles versions will fucking die there, and there only.
Probably fine with whichever you feel comfortable playing tbh. But the PC community is somewhat active still even today thanks to things like that utility Pat mentioned. Though expect modded twinks coming into your games with endgame gear while you're still rocking a sword handle and a sack cloth mask.

I can see the build working out to be honest (there's very few that aren't viable for PvE after all!), but it does just make the game take longer for a while until you start getting elemental upgrades or fix the scaling output.

Also also, Woolie has plenty of humanity and it is farmable, let him kindle his bonfires Pat jfc. I seriously doubt he's gonna go through the trouble to save Solaire but if he does he'll need to farm humanity regardless.
Shits hilarious. They're in the prime farming spot for humanity and Pat keeps barking that humanity is some rare finite resource.
It took me 20 minutes to get 30 humanity for the chaos shortcut and that's without avarice or covetous. Shit it felt like turning in all the humanity took longer than farming it :v:
God damn it not only are they blind but they're also deaf, they literally have an item that tells them when there's a secret room and they ignore the cue, hell they even walk straight past one they accidentally opened :v:

Depths is only the 2nd best humanity farming spot. Best place is somewhere in the [sp]abyss where all the humanity sprites gather.[/sp]

There's a better spot towards the end-game too but IIRC by then it's too late to save Solaire.
Lmfao how can pat look at the 50 stat dragon axe and think the level cap is 60? How can you expect anyone to medium, let alone fast roll without leveling any other stat past 10.
Now that i think, Stray Demon is perfectly doable for Woolie anyway, it takes the same amount of time as hitting the non weak spot of Gaping Dragon even 1 handing and not putting Dex up
I had to leave my mark in history

Too bad they missed Kirk in the Depths.

One downside to them never going human in the Souls games really. The NPC invader encounters are pretty entertaining sometimes.
I think I'm going to miss Liam most when it comes to some of the longer lets plays. Liam was probably the least funny of the 4 best friends, but he was the most informative, and I really valued him for that. I'm thinking back to his Starfox Adventures playthrough or some of the Best Friend Vanias that they did, he added an element to it that usually is not combined with humor-oriented lets players. I loved learning things about the development of the games he played, speedrun tricks, sequence breaks and skips, that sort of thing. But it's hard to watch a playthrough of just that, because you can't talk about that stuff the whole time, eventually you run out of stuff to talk about and you're stuck just playing the game silently if you don't also have the humor element.
Liam was the hardest worker on screen, Matt is the hardest worker behind the scenes.
idk if id call liam the least funny, what he lacked in quantity of jokes he made up in quality
Being the "least funny" isn't a bad thing when he brings other things to the table, like Helix said.
im not knocking that im just not sure i agree with least funny is all, liam has given me overall less laughs but probably harder laughs
Every single Machinima video Liam was in was god tier.
I will never forget Kelloggs Boo Berry. And I will never forget how he carried podcast 089 to the best podcast episode.

That entire [sp]alternate boss fight method was fantastic, I'm glad they went back to do it.[/sp]
Liam also had some of the best lore, like crawling into the vents to avoid his fear of big butts
Matt is lacking in lore. He doesn't have nearly as much as the other 3.
Speaking of Matt, he's live on Max's stream right now:

[sp]Though I am glad they went back and tried the alternate way of doing the fight, it bothers me that they left in the walk back. Kind of a waste of half the vid.[/sp]
Is the RE7 outro themed after something? I love the budget horror movie feel it has to it.

Probably generic budget horror movie.
The start of this week's Friendcast is finally the full resurrection of the Black Cast
