To be fair, the game is about 10 hours long- with their 5-6 hour streams, it makes sense they'd have to do it in two sessions.

Absolutely- we'll be getting Dark Souls on sunday, so get ready for a huge amount of FFX this week. Can't say I'm complaining.

I really hope in the DS3 playthrough they don't stick with some utterly boring weapon and ugly armor for the entire playthrough. Bloodborne was real bad about that.

Considering from how Pat seems to play these games for first playthroughs, I kind of expect him to most likely wear the Knight armor with a sword and shield[sp]and maybe the Deep Battle Axe if they find it early[/sp]through most of the game.
Though I wouldn't blame him really, since that's what I did. :v:

I would kind of prefer watching them rock a longsword rather than that stupid axe at least.
Well armour doesn't really mean much in 3, so hopefully they just fashion it up like everyone else right now. I love my old hunter.
i hope pat's already beaten the game and the others go in blind, there's a ton of super obtuse side quests that you literally cannot figure out on your first playthrough

I'm pretty sure that Pat said that the results of poll said for him to go in blind, and that he's leaving the Steam overlay on so that people can see that he beat the bosses for the first time. I'm not sure about the others, though. I wouldn't be surprised if Matt's going in blind too, but I haven't heard anything about whether or not Woolie's played it already.

Everyone is going in blind- Pat tried to weasel out of doing so by having a twitter poll, but everyone there agreed that he shouldn't know anything about the game either. Besides, I don't think they'll mind missing a few cool quests as long as the main experience is fun.

I'm always struggling to balance fashion souls and armor value. Like, i'm rocking the fallen knight set right now because of my huge cloaks over armor fetish.

Eh I wouldn't say you miss a few quests, in my blind playthrough I basically missed every single quest because the quest triggers this time around are kinda specific.
Regardless I can't want to see them play, let's hope they do the DLC too when it comes out

Their Dark Souls 2 playthrough is what got me into both the Souls series and the Best Friends, so I am just super excited to watch them play DS3, I can hardly wait.
At least this time it will be completely forgivable if Pat gets everything wrong since he can't pretend like he knows everything going in :v:

That's why I couldn't stand DS2; he gave Woolie mountains of misinformation all the time while claiming to be good at the game. He can't do that with a brand new title.
I'm glad that pats on controls, considering he's far less likely to panic and swing at any npc that walks past.
The part in the undead settlement when [sp]Siegward steps off of the elevator surprised me,[/sp] and judging from the past Woolie may take a swing at moments like that.
I thought this when they announced the setup for the lp, and the "incident" in the Heavy Rain stream reminded me.
