Well that's new (vessel spoilers)- [sp]Punpun moved in with HR today, so I guess tomorrow will be the end of FFX and the start of DS3. This won't matter after that since we'll be getting a new DS3 episode every day, but it's cool to see an lp end as one begins.[/sp]
Yeah but I won't get mad at him for acting like he knows everything. That's why I couldn't stand DS2; he gave Woolie mountains of misinformation all the time while claiming to be good at the game. He can't do that with a brand new title.
He actually can. Remember when he pressured Woolie into never upgrading his strength in Bloodborne, and got unreasonably mad about it even though he was totally in the wrong?
Seriously what the fuck was that about? They were using strength weapons, yet he got physically upset when people told him to upgrade that shit. It didn't help that there were people straight up lying about stats not mattering in BB (Even though, you know, they totally fucking do)

Dark Souls 3 has finally arrived on vessel!
Dark Souls 3 has finally arrived on vessel!
[sp]And already, Pat stumbled his way into victory and unknowingly killed the katana man by running away and having him fall off a cliff. I can already see this playthrough going amazingly.[/sp]

All three of my characters have had him walk of the cliff after I ran away from him.[/sp]:v:
Why do they keep wasting MP in FFX? They're only using Flare and Holy, and then get confused when they run out of MP. They know it barely does more damage, but it costs like 4 times the MP.

Pat can be outright braindead in dark souls sometimes. Remember when he shat all over woolie for popping a life gem to counteract poison and told him to wait till he's almost dead and use estus instead? Like, what? The weird part is the strong convictions he has over his idiocy being correct.
life gems are limited and stop healing once you reach full health, pat doesnt like using consumable items. Im glad they ditched them for 3, they made the game too cheap.
life gems are limited and stop healing once you reach full health, pat doesnt like using consumable items. And to make the game more difficult, if you use your FP a lot you have to balance regular Estus and Ashen. Makes it better IMO
Does anyone have the link to Matt and Woolie shitting on pat in the cave in Bloodborne?
life gems are limited and stop healing once you reach full health, pat doesnt like using consumable items. Im glad they ditched them for 3, they made the game too cheap.
Life gems weren't really limited seeing as you could buy them for only 300 souls each, and they coninue to heal for a set amount of time they don't stop once your health fills. They're practically designed to counteract poison. So, good job From, poison was almost something people had to pay attention to in DS2.

We're probably going to be seeing the same deal with the moss clumps. Liam's been awfully spoilery about the game. I wonder if he'll help them with the side quests. This has been bugging me for a while, but what's the music that's used for the Mystery Box intro? It's super familiar, but I can't remember where it's from.

Whoever's the one (Liam?) editing the Twilight Princess episodes is really having fun. That last ending was great.

Despite everything, Geoff Keighley is probably the hardest working person in that industry. Sometimes he has to get his hands dirty to do so, but he really just wants to spread the love.
Yeah, even though its easy to laugh at VGAs/The Game Awards (and they really did deserve it most of the time) those shows really are a project he has a lot of passion for. He was the main driving force behind the Spike VGAs and solely produced the two The Game Awards shows after the VGAs got dropped. I can't imagine he'd have gone through all that effort if he didn't genuinely care about what he does. It's fun to call him the Dorito's Pope and stuff, but I still have respect for him.

What in the hell kind of blue kool aid alcohol are they drinking in the heavy rain stream because that sounds great
As someone who's never played any Final Fantasy games, can someone explain to me what the fuck is going on with the last (?) boss fight? They summon an Aeon, the turn list shows Aeon->boss->pillar thing A->pillar thing B->boss->Aeon, but they can only get one attack out and the boss just keeps having turns and murders them, how is that fair?

But the long and short of it is that Aeons (and by extension all summons) are supposed to be overpowered killing blow style spell things. FFX was unique i believe by having them as a early game component, but in general Aeons are basically a free party member/meat shield, thats often stronger than the rest of the party. In turn theres heavy risks to using them.
