...No they're not? Poise doesn't exist in DS3 so putting on heavy armour does nothing, and the [I]only[/I] benefit to heavy weapons are the few frames of hyper-armour that you get. Things like the estoc, or any of the katanas, do about 50 less damage but can be swung 3x as fast and cost significantly less stamina.

Funny, the people that didn't want him to level grind so they can see him get frustrated, are now getting frustrated due to pat grinding.

The over-leveling just means we'll have less episodes dedicated to nothing, and more episodes dedicated to everyone getting hyped and coming to the wrong conclusions.
Overleveling doesn't really matter, I didn't really grind but the game was still pretty easy up until after the next area they're going through, so I think people will start shutting up about it by then.
Pat is an amateur grinder anyway. If Billy was playing, he would already be max level by the time he got to High Wall Lothric.
Overleveling or not this LP is a million times better because Pat's at the helm instead of Woolie. Pat may miss shit but he's not a snail coward

Played through all of it myself and the game is pretty cool. Not sure if the demo is still up though, as it was only for a limited time.
The DS3 playthrough is fine
Its one of my favorite LPs of the game I've seen on YT just because of the chemistry between Matt Pat and Woolie and the passion and excitement that just oozes from pat at every corner, its contagious
This is one of their best LPs in a while
their excitement is the main reason i watch their DkS3 playthrough, same with bloodborne and to a lesser extent DkS2
it's so much fun to see them be so hyped about all the cool things in these games

Except almost everything from Dark Souls 1 onwards is a reference, boss names, areas, ring names, everything.
