even matt joining the playthrough won't stop the complaining i guess
Not if matt tells pat to stop using the power move. Sorry if if find it annoying.

I actually have the Episode III DS game they were talking about. :v:
Been super long time, but I do remember the dogfights being fun. You can even play as the Mill. Falcon and Slave I.
this might just be me but I find it super weird to complain about an LP
like if it bothers you that much than don't watch it?
this isn't directed at anyone in the thread, more referring to things I've read elsewhere. Like it doesn't bother me that Pat isn't good at some games.
I don't get the complaint about him not being good. I mean if its blocking progress I can sorta understand that (though the extent people went to when it came to shitting on them for SOMA was stupid), but if he's playing it well enough that the LP actually progresses then who fucking cares?
It's not like I watch LPs to see a skilled player, I watch it because I like the person's personality and commentary.

I dunno, for me it's more of enjoying the commentary and them sharing opinions on the lore/other things but then they miss something -really- obvious or blatant and I'm just kinda like "hmph, gosh darn".
I am not gonna stop watching it because of that but it leaves me peeved I guess. It's not exactly hard to talk and pay attention to something at the same time unless you wanna stare each other directly in the face when you talk I s'pose. :v:

I don't give a rat's ass on how they play the games tho' that's just preference you can't yell at someone for that.
It always seems like in LP megathreads, after the first few versions, the only people left posting are one's who always complain and seem to dislike the content.
I dunno, maybe people just get annoyed at seeing someone try the exact same thing over and over and failing in the same way every time. Ludwig's Holy Blade is a slow weapon and using its slowest attack on one of the fastest enemy types of the game is a sure fire way to lose. I mean fuck, "Just don't watch it", maybe the rest of the LP is fine, and seeing Pat stubbornly try the same thing multiple times and refuse to do anything else is frustrating. It's basically the same as watching Woolie play DS2, except Pat knows how to sprint and not inch along.
So with the new Old Hunter's DLC, can you equip the pile bunker in one hand and the gatling gun in the other, and be scope dog mode?

Yeah like, it's not like I'm in physical pain watching them, it's just that the points where they do something stupid stand out the most. If something else happened in the video that was funnier or more surprising, then I'd talk about that instead. If we can't do that then this may as well be a hub dedicated to posting their videos and nothing else. I post here because I enjoy watching them for the most part, enough to care when they do something that irritates me.
Yeah, I just don't even understand why he's using the Holy Blade at all, it clearly isn't fulfilling his entertainment, and he can't be bothered to learn how he'd use it. I enjoy the playthroughs and I barely ever drop off of one but Pat, on his own, played through the entire game again, and has played it on his own time, yet still cannot grasp either learning how to use the weapon properly or trading off to something that suits his style more
I'm catching up on Devil's Third right now, and I'm getting weird Timesplitters vibes from the progression up to episode 5. If I'm right, the section after the mansion will be Ivan meeting Harry Tipper.

Sadly, the game is not that interesting.
Vessel Spoilers [sp]And I can say this because they just finished the game on Vessel! It kinda picked up with the final boss (stay after the endcard, guys), but overall this was a shitshow of a game. Still got one part left though- multiplayer. God help us all.[/sp]

I really love how Woolie actually knows the processes of Force Unleashed before it came out- there's probably some LPs I've missed where they had prior experience testing, but having seen none of them as of yet (all I've seen is the "Thanks Woolie/Liam" compilation of Soul Suspect) this was really interesting.
Oh, yeah it's always neat when they show stuff like that. Matt was a tester for No more heroes 1, which made the LP more interesting.
Uh, Matt playing Obi-Wan walks in a circle like five times, how did none of them notice that?
I hope they play Kinect Star Wars in their last SW week episode, motion controls always make for amazing TBFP videos

I won't lie. I almost stopped watching there.
For someone that supposedly took art classes, he has no eye for details when it comes to navigation.
To be fair it's not like the game had intuitive level design.
Any path that goes in a circle will trap any game tester. Literally why every game now is a straight line. from start to finish.

Liam was super into the danceoff, I need gifs

I always remember how in HL2:EP2, the maze used to be able to loop around and was more complicated because of it, but due to testers going in circles for hours they had to change it. People would always blame Valve's Testers because of it, but I'm willing to bet every tester is able to fall into this trap.
Man Matt -really- can't dance. He's like 5 seconds behind the game.
wow thanks pat for the new movie spoiler
