you better practice a lot before using that and even when you'll have the chance to use it, you'll still have to aim right and I can understand that if you're having an andrenaline kick, you won't throw as good as you did during practice.
If a guy comes at you with a pole or other object he can jab with, dodge the jab and grab it, pull him to you and just break his arm, problem avoided.

terrible fucking idea
The U.S. Army uses hand-to-hand combat training to defeat it's opponents in close combat situations. Hand-to-hand combat allows the consideration of weapons usage and implementation. Soldiers are trained how to strike vital points on the human body, and the affects of striking that particular part. For a soldier to be effective in hand-to-hand combat, it is essential to understand what striking that part of the body will do. Civilians and military personnel that are off duty should never engage in fighting. Hand-to-hand combat is dangerous; using military hand-to-hand combat moves may result in criminal charges against you unless it is in self-defense.

And then you have a 50% chance of hitting them with the handle.

And a 90% chance of hitting nothing at all
If you're in a dominant position on top, drop elbows, they are much harder to dodge and it won't hurt if you miss.
How doesn't it hurt?

Hit em in the head with that with a good hard swing and you may just kill him.
Hit him anywhere else and you will break a few bones.
Baton's aren't cool. You should stick with the prod.

Punching the Celiac Plexus does not work if your opponent is fat.
Punching the Celiac Plexus does not work if your opponent is fat.
if he's fat enough to not be hurt by the solar plexus, then he's probably too slow to catch you up when you run

Or heavy enough not to stand up when pushed over.

If you strike the ground with your elbow, it'll hurt a little bit, but not nearly as much as if you punched the ground.

Yes it does
