Holy shit I just realized I was 6-7 years old when digimon came out. I'm 22 now and I still remember this show fondly.
The reason you might think Digimon is for kids is because the english versions were censored and changed around to be targeted at a younger audience, while the original japanese versions were targeted at older teenagers and young adults.
