I have shot an ak47 without ear protection and I didn't go deaf. First shot kinda made me confused as I wasn't prepared, but that's about it.

Mainly agreed, but if I might ask a stupid question, where exactly do "video game" gun sound effects come from if the real-life weapons don't actually sound like that? Real guns do tend to all sound pretty similar except in extreme variations, but in that case, is the characterized quality of film and game guns sounds really something wholly fabricated?
At the start i thought it was a terrorist video... but no just another retarded kid trying to look cool.
