that's assuming you've already put your card details into something like apple pay, otherwise you're a bit shafted for the time being
I don't use apple pay or android pay. Was lucky to get through to Santander instantly at 7am this morning and they were able to stop the card. Now I have to go into a branch bank and get some dosh out for the week cos it's gonna take 5-7 working days for a replacement card. Don't worry about the needle n thread, stole some from the textiles department. Oh and thanks for the bants lads, it's made my shitty morning a little bit better.

Has anyone got a local sandwich shop or something that they love to go to everyday for lunch, I went for mine today and she told me that they are temporarily shutting so they can get renovated for 3 months or so. Gutted.
No because I can't eat bread
I said "or something" so you could have mentioned a local non bread vendor.
I said "or something" so you could have mentioned a local non bread vendor.
but then how would he have let everyone in the thread know he's unique and can't eat bread for a mysterious reason that will make us ask him "why can't you eat bread" and yes i had a place like that, became really tight with the owners. they permanently shut down though, and it was seriously rough. it took me a few months to get over it, but you'll find another sandwich shop and will learn to live without your current one for 3 months.
Went to the Apollo in Manchester and saw London Grammar last night. They were amazing! It's also nice that they've finally installed air conditioning in that sweat box Back for QOTSA, Enter Shikari and PVRIS
I saw Sean Lock there a while back it was really good atmosphere but it was also fucking red hot at like 8pm at night. I don't actually care that he can't eat bread, so I ain't asking. I suppose I will have to change it up just for now and get to Mini T's or bring my own lunch it's money saving so that's a bonus.

Check out Oh Wonder as well, they've got a similar vibe and are awesome. [editline]18th October 2017[/editline]
Don't ask him, it's what he wants.
No because I can't eat bread
We can never be friends.
We can never be friends.
I'll force myself to eat you :x
does anyone know how long a DBS check takes? i dont want to send my passport incase they take forever as i need it but i called my mother and she doesnt know where my birth certificate is
Few weeks tops usually.
Yeah it doesn't take long, mine came back within 4 days for my work.
thanks, its for a volunteer role do i actually lose access to my documents? looking at this it sounds like the organization just use them to verify my identity, i imagine not having there driving licence or passport is a major inconvenience to a lot of people im still pretty pissed off how do you lose an important document like a birth certificate?
Not 100% sure because I did an online application as they already had my details from way back. I think they do keep them until they are done accepting you but you get them back when they are done.
London Grammar are chilling, I love their sound. Check out Oh Wonder as well, they've got a similar vibe and are awesome.
Saw them at TRNSMT festival in Glasgow. Total snoozefest. Not a single song to even sing along to. Probably the worst act I saw there.

If anyone's interested in a Steam Link, Steam's got a bundle going at the moment where it's 80p and comes with ICEY (a pretty good game by itself) (£15 total after shipping + Tax though).
That's pretty cheap, it's a shame I don't play via my TV but good to know. Thanks buddy pal chum guy.
That's pretty cheap, it's a shame I don't play via my TV but good to know. Thanks buddy pal chum guy.
No probs. To be honest, I bought it even though I don't have a TV (at the moment) to use it on. It's one of those "It'll be useful one day and I'll regret not getting it while it's so cheap" kind of things. ICEY is pretty good. Not something I would have bought by itself (not many games interest me lately), but I'm pretty happy with it either way.
Saw them at TRNSMT festival in Glasgow. Total snoozefest. Not a single song to even sing along to. Got a huge assessment day for a job. Absolutely bricking it. Felt fine all week and now I have a couple of hours to scream to myself. I'm hoping the constant cups of tea don't make me piss myself because I'm stuck in there for 5 hours.
