They weigh more if they're live/fully charged compared to dead ones - so it'd definitely hurt more. Live batteries also don't bounce when dropped, but dead/dying ones do. It's really weird.
Lyokanthrope and I just tested this at work and blew everyone's minds. Much more efficient than using a multimeter :v:
Yesterday I went to the 02 shop to sort out a new Sim card for my phone that got stolen, and the clerk said he'd have to go on a web-chat to authorise a new Sim for my account or something. So he logged in and opened a chat with some guy in an Indian call-centre. And the guy he connected to was called 'Mate'. Everyone in the store, customers and staff all came to see what we were laughing at, had a laugh themselves and I asked if I could type in responses. The guy working there said fine, every response I sent was some variation of "Good stuff Mate", "This is great customer service mate", "Appreciate it Mate". Definitely one of the funniest trips I've ever had to a phone shop.
They had to do a web-chat to sort something that they should be able to sort instore? Wtf.
They had to do a web-chat to sort something that they should be able to sort instore? Wtf.
I know where I work we just scan ID, verify it's you and then replace it on the spot. Webchat for that kind of thing sounds awful.
Normally I'd agree with you, but this time it was worthwhile.
Computer broke so now I'm stuck with a tablet.
What's happened to your computer?
What's happened to your computer?
You replied in the thread in Hardware and Software section so you know already :v:
Sky is such a joke. I'm trying to use the sky go stuff to watch the F1. To use it on PC you have to install Microsoft silverlight which I'm pretty sure hasn't been developed for 4 years, and then you have to use internet explorer. It's 2017 geez, I'm having to use ancient browser. The fuck they doing with all their money. A subscription costs a fortune, the channels are full of ads, watching stuff on catch makes you sit through adverts as well And people moan about TV licence [editline]12th November 2017[/editline] And the quality is shocking, constantly dropping and coming back
I always questioned why I have to watch normal TV Ads on Sky's channels (Sky One, Atlantic, Living ect) when I pay them monthly for access to...well Sky. Only answer I come up with is "Money."
I haven't used a PC for general internet browsing outside of work for about 5 years. You get used to it. Talking of computers, I got an old Core 2 Duo Q8300 machine from work, stuck 8gb ram and my old 750ti in it. I've been really surprised by how well it performs hardly going to set the world alight, but it's acceptable. I hadn't appreciated how much of heavy lifting the graphics cards do I've given it to my mate as his machine was rubbish and built into one of those tiny console sized cases
Some machines, just last. Even if you had the exact same machine next to that one, one of them would be an ultimate slug while the other carries on fine, it's weird.
We just put an offer in on a house We are going to be poor oh fuck oh fuck
aye as if student halls in edinburgh are like that (also fuck 4:04 for a bit) although had no idea this was being filmed at any point, having cowgate shut like that surely would've drawn some attention.

Who spells nowhere like that, it's really bugging me. It's funny otherwise.
30 mins to go between two stations on the northern line this morning. What a pain in the ass. I wish motorbike insurance wasn't so god damn expensive here so that I could get one for commuting.

If you're on British Gas, check your account on the website for British Gas rewards. They're giving away a Hive Light Starter Kit for Christmas. Supposedly worth £118, but they're on Amazon for £55. Two smart lights and a Hive Hub for free ain't a bad deal.
Wish I had enough money to slapdown on a Tesla :~(

These past two weeks have been a right old pain, can't seem to shake this cold. (Yes I had a flu jab a month ago) so my cold has gone through four stages - hot n cold, sneezing, sore throat and finally coughing. Everything has gone apart from the cough which has caused me to lose my voice. Anyone got any Facepunch certified health tips to get rid of Laryngitis? Tried antiseptic throat spray, tried broncho stop, tried night nurse...

I've seen a few people mention they've had flu jab, I thought they only gave em to the elderly and babies.
gargle vinegar
Just reading that makes me wanna throw up, does it actually work?
