seeing people I was in uni with going on with their lives and graduating really fucks me up. I wish I hadn't pissed about and wasted two years of my life by being a lazy cunt and just socializing all the time. I'm still doing my bachelors when I should be graduated already, tears me up seeing the people I was friends with posting about their first days at work, or starting their masters in the States or Australia.
It isn't a race. Everyone does things in their own time. I'm sure many people (including me) have felt like that many times in their life. Some kind of fear of being left behind on some magical journey to success, its bollocks, you'll be fine.

It was just burning me out going from one year of education to the next to the next. I'm only just doing my degree while everyone else I know has gone and done it within the last year or two and moved on into either work or onto their next stage, one of them is gunning for their professional doctorate.
Is it just a stereotype that working in retail sucks? I've been working at a Millets for just over two months now and it's been alright.
Is it just a stereotype that working in retail sucks? I've been working at a Millets for just over two months now and it's been alright,
Really depends were. I've been in my retail job over a year and I haven't hated it besides the odd customer interaction. Having a great manager who sticks by your side helps a ton.
Which supermarket does the best mince pies?
M&S, Waitrose or even Lidl/Aldi sometimes. M&S is the safe bet, but Lidl is the "you're gambling but it'll be cheaper if you get a good batch (so can buy more)" option.
M&S
YEET

Don't let it get you down, you'll get there too and not long after that 2 years difference won't mean shit.
Is it just a stereotype that working in retail sucks? I've been working at a Millets for just over two months now and it's been alright.
A good or bad experience in retail depends mostly on your direct manager and the customer base your store has.
Is it just a stereotype that working in retail sucks? Working in supermarkets is shit, because everyone has to go to the supermarket I bet working at a Lego shop is alright too
A guy at work got arrested for being a nonce, he got called in to the managers office cause he was late and they went "why do you think we called you in" and he said "because I've got child porn on my phone", absolute gospel truth
So he told the bosses he had child porn, then they phoned the police?
Yes, they searched his phone and found a video of a 13 year old sucking off a 5 year old
Man, and I think I'm the worst person in the world whenever I'm called to managers, I'm always just behind on things. talk about a situation going from 2 to 11 in just one sentence
Yes, they searched his phone and found a video of a 13 year old sucking off a 5 year old
what the actual fuck i'm glad the universe somehow worked this out and got this dumbass to convict himself. [editline]6th December 2017[/editline] stories like this always make my heart go out to the investigators who have to watch these videos. it seems like it'd be such a soul destroying job, i'd honestly absolutely hate the world and my life if my job consisted of watching all the fucked up shit required to convict someone.
Fucking finally, after weeks of nagging the HR lady she's finally sent me a replacement of my September payslip. I needed my 4 most recent payslips for our mortgage application, I've got all my payslips since I started working but couldn't find September's. I've been shitting myself about it
Got the stomach flu. Keep having fever dreams that I'm a neofascist rock star. Need to write an album about it.
I see your fever dreams and raise you migraine dreams. Holy shit are they terrible. Had one a few weeks ago where it felt as if nothing made sense, I was separated from my body and all I could feel was pain in waves.

You might want to pick up a Face-fit test and Asbestos Awareness too. Just come off a job for a year that had those qualifications as mandatory, even if you worked in the office and such.

That week sucked. I'll probably go do that Asbestos Awareness, thanks for the suggestion
Go away Caroline I gotta fly monday
I could do with term ending now, I'm really done with most of the people at university. So many people who need to control everything, talk over anyone because their point is 10x more valuable and shit on everything anyone who isn't in their mini-clique says or does. I'm just tired of the general selfishness and lack of consideration and could do with hanging out with my friends back home who, you know, care about each other.
It's turned into a winter wonderland outside and my dogs are going absolutely wild for seeing snow for the first time. Bloody thing dipped her head in the snow and started running around the garden like a madman. My other dog is afraid to go outside, as if the snow is going to melt her like acid or something. :v:
I'm going a little wild with the snow. Never seen snowfall in my life before and it was pretty damn heavy, even in London zone 2. Didn't believe my phone saying it was snowing until I checked
Got my tools ready to help my niece build a snowman. [t]https://i.imgur.com/BznrY9j.jpg[/t]
Everyone's getting snow and here I am in Southampton with rain and wind :c
