it was £1200
My friend is paying £2,000 all together for his iPhone X. He's pretty much dropped and cracked the screen of all his previous phones
Currently suffering with the worst bout of flu I have ever had. Seeing people on Facebook saying they have the exact same thing and how long it's lasted (I'm like 3 days in but they've had it since Christmas). I'm starting to hope it isn't Australian flu.
Was stuck in hospital over christmas due to it, its fucking horrid
That flu sucked hard.
That Fucking cough made me sound like a goose
it was £1200
What does it do that the Google Pixel 2 or Samsung S8 doesn't already?
What does it do that the Google Pixel 2 or Samsung S8 doesn't already?
Cost more.
That "flu" has seriously fucked me up, I was stuck in a bed for 2 days because I couldn't walk. Was hallucinating etc. Ever since my chest has been fucked, pains basically non stop from whenI had it during late September. It happened again just before Christmas but this time I was coughing blood.
Still feel like shite, but cant get into any doctors at all for obvious reasons.

It's been going around at work, loads of people off with it. One girl even admitted to hospital. Now I'm sick again this weekend :suicide:

if you can't get GP appointments, you're not calling early enough. if I call at 9am, they give me appointments a week ahead. If I call at 8:30am, I get an appointment that very day.

thankfully I wasn't coughing blood when I had it, but jfc if I was coughing up blood, I'd have been at the docs faster than I could say "what the fuck"
The clinic I've been going to all my life was closed, now everyone is invading a small village.
No one gets an appointment, even my mother who is a cancer patient can only get one every two weeks or so if she is lucky.
just an FYI, but it's a very serious thing if that's the case. I had a problem when I moved to this small village, all the clinics I went to were closed to new registrations. I had to call up NHS and they threw their weight around and got me into a clinic just down the street from me that had previously been politely telling me to fuck off when I tried to register.
if appointment booking is seriously that bad, you should call NHS up and ask if they can move you to a clinic that can actually handle appointments, cause getting booked in once every two weeks is pretty disgusting. I was pissed off with my clinic until one of the secretaries told me about the calling at 8:30am thing, and ever since then, I've never had an issue getting an appointment on the same day despite this being an old peoples' town and they're always clogging up the clinics.

Honestly I can sympathise with not getting appointments. I am told to ring at 8.30am, so I call at 8.29am because you're usually in a queue for a few minutes. I then get told to ring back at 8.30 "because they can't see the appointments until it ticks over. Just as they hang up on me I check the time on my mobile and it says 8.31am. So they could have booked me in, but were just being spiteful.
Other times I've called and been sat in a queue for 20 minutes, and when I finally get through the appointments are all gone.

this was definitely an impulsive decision

that sucks. I can honestly say this has never happened to me. if I call at 8:29, the phone line is dead. when I call at 8:30, I'm waiting a couple of minutes, receptionist picks up, and then gives me a list of available appointments. i've never been stuck in a 20 minute queue. NHS takes this stuff seriously, so if you're bothered, you can submit a complaint, or if you're sat waiting for 20 mins and all the appointments are taken, throw your weight around and demand they book you one for tomorrow as it's total bullshit you're sat for 20 mins and then told there's no availability.
the only correct solution is to become your own doctor
luckily i sell become-a-doctor kits online. it's a half-mile of gause, forceps, anal beads, a needle filled with whatever's under my sink, and a bucket of leeches

only £500
real talk, how the fuck are my uni mates affording long holidays in places like Spain / Thailand / Germany etc
they'll fuck off for a 2 week holiday and I'm scratching my head wondering how they afford it. every time I ask mates if they're up for a holiday, they can't afford it, or wanna go do wank stuff like Ibiza or go abroad just to get hammered 90% of the time.
I wanna get out of the UK for a week once my exams are over and just chill someplace sunny, but I legit don't know how people afford long holidays without breaking the bank. I'd love to stay at a hostel but doing it solo seems weird, would be way better if I had a mate so we could book a private 2-bed in a hostel and save loadsa money
When I went on holiday with my girlfriend during uni term holidays, we booked like 2 months in advance which meant the flights were cheaper, and found AirBnBs which are also cheaper when booked in advance.
Spent a week in Barcelona for ~£120 each (flights + AirBnB costs). Same story with Thailand. I knew someone who went backpacking around there on the cheap (going via Hostels etc).
The only issue with booking in advance, though, is stuff can randomly pop up out of the blue and you're fucked trying to either shift your flights/airBnB stuff or get a refund and rebook later on.
cheers man, seems the only way to really get it cheap is to split the cost with someone who wants to go and do the same sorta things I wanna do, as well as booking in advance.

middle class kids
I just got back from a short trip to Norway which I paid for with my summer internship. Planning on doing Sweden or something next year. Loopoo, you do engineering right? The summer work tends to pay reasonably if you can do it (and aren't already).
I have two well off snapchat friends that are in uni and it feels like they're in a different European country every month. It's maddening.

I wanna do summer work but I'm legit worried I'll turn up to my first day and the employers realise I'm 1) retarded and 2) utterly shite at engineering

Are you not on universal credits?
It's a much better system and (maybe it depends on who you work with) I haven't had to step through the job centre doors in about a year now.
