Got a root canal operation next Monday. Don't know what will hurt more, the two hour op or my bank balance afterwards.
anyone here had an [del]endoscopy[/del]colonoscopy before? got one coming up and I'm fucking dreading it. just something so emasculating knowing people are gonna shove a tube up your ass, just makes me feel like crap. edit: nevermind, looked at youtube videos, seems like a piece of piss. some people don't even get sedated for it.
Oh boy we got actual snow.
isn't getting it done via NHS a horrible experience cause they let dental students do it? my mate is a dentist and he used to always tell me horror stories of how the students would royally fuck up and the professional dentist would step in and fix all the shit they'd broken would rather break my bank than let a student touch me tbh
I'm horribly dentaphobic, or whatever the technical term is. Going to the dentist gives me sweats and I typically start to cry in the waiting room. Last two visits I went private to get sedated while they checked me over. It's fucking horrible and I'm now doubly resolved to not let a student near me.

Colonoscopy you'll barely even notice anything's happening unless they need to take tissue samples, then there's a strange pinching sensation but nothing more than that.

I get seriously stressed out, and I fucking hate the drilling. I've had a bunch of bad experiences: dental care in the Middle East where the cunt didn't anesthetize because it was a "shallow cavity". That was absolute agony, I was 16, and kept asking him to anesthetize and he kept brushing it off saying I shouldn't need it. He was probs selling supplies or something cause he was genuinely going out of his way to not let me get the injection. I was an awkward kid so I just sat there whilst it hurt like fuck. Had a UK dentist grab my molar so hard it shattered and I had shards of tooth fall to the back of my throat whilst he fished them out. Another UK dentist chipped my canine whilst he was working on my mouth. I get really intense adrenaline rushes but I've forced myself to do it even though I hate it and now it's not too bad. Still not sure whether I was keen on it
Not a colonoscopy, but I have had a finger up me bum. Still not sure whether I was keen on it
never let my ex do that, even when she wanted to experiment. can't believe i'm losing my ass virginity to a fuckin doctor

Might be worth chatting with the nurse beforehand to see if they'll do it without though as its mostly to stop you wiggling about. Now the laxatives they post to you for the day beforehand? That's the real horror.
anyone remember 50 50?
anyone remember 50 50?
NO CONFERRING
The only reason why my root canal and filling is costing me a third of my take home salary is because he is a good dentist. Yeah, when it comes to teeth, Id rather pay more knowing an experienced dentist will be working on my teeth. Well, there goes my holiday money lol
Am i the only one who watched the weakest link in the early 2000's? can remember playing resident evil 1 when i was 6 and re3 when i was 9-10, re3 is easily my favourite game.
Weakest Link before The Simpsons came on 👌
Pork Scratchings are the enemy of teeth everywhere.
the movie?
no it was a gameshow that pitted two schools against each other
how many people here have dental insurance?
ain't dental insurance cheap?
how many people here have dental insurance?
Nope I think the last time I went to a dentist was when the year started with a "1"
On the topic of dentists and students, my mum went the other week - she was going for some operation to do with a collapsed tooth - but she found out at the last minute it was being done by students. I can only imagine her horror when she heard the main dentist tell the student "you forgot the vacuum! do you want her to choke on her own blood?!?" Dentists, man.

I would recommend asking for some form of pain killer, they can supply gas and air. The worst part is the laxative before hand. Try and make sure you're given the drink because I've heard of the suppository failing to work, meaning the patient goes through the procedure for nothing and has to rebook. The drink will likely be more violent though. Hope this helps.
I watched a youtube video of someone who was showing what it's like, he even recorded himself on the toilet him shitting his brains out on the toilet, it sounded like a pressure washer, fire hose spraying water out at mach 3. that's gonna be hilarious, i might get some mad airtime off the toilet seat

It was honestly the single most vile thing I've ever tasted colonoscopy itself is fine though. It doesn't really hurt just feels uncomfortable. Even started talking with the nurse about it.
the real question is: am i meant to shave my asshole or not
Oh hey I also had a colonoscopy. Nurse just talked about Aliens films for some reason.
