Getting pretty tired of the people at uni already and it's only been two weeks. I was pretty refreshed after Christmas but they've somehow got worse.

On the bus home earlier I noticed a woman across from me with a knapsack at her feet and one of those big cloth bags on the seat next to her, who began taking DVDs out of the bags, taking the discs out of their cases and putting them on her lap, then taking the covers out of the cases and ripping them in half, then shoving the cases back in the bag. She did this until she had run out almost completely then shoved the stack of DVDs and CDs (wrapped in a torn cover sleeve) into her knapsack and had this creepiest fucking grin on her face. Probably didn't help that she had a really bad case of Nanny McPhee, too.

Not long ago the company I work for ditched our site's beloved canteen (£1.96 breakfast anyone?) in favour of a shitty '24 hour self service' which basically amounted to a few fridges of bland sandwiches and your standard drinks and snacks except the priced had been shoved up to twice what they were before.
