i'm not a car person so i can't tell if that's some sort of vintage mini cooper, why on earth is the insurance on it £2600? no way in hell i'd pay that kind of premium on such a dinky looking car lol

I love it, but at this point I've put too much money into it to give up so I'm kinda trapped until my premium comes down a bunch.
So you know last thread I was complaining about how one of the Senior Leadership members keeps on sending out top meme tier emails because he is the 'Staff Wellbeing Officer'

This is his latest one. It never ends...
it's gonna be such an alien experience having to get visas to go to european countries
wtf is this third world shit, we're god damn great britain, we don't need visas to visit our colonies and vassals
Most probably you can visit anywhere in the EU without a visa for 90 days.
But airport staff'll be ruder to you because it's a little more work for them to deal with.
Like I went to Riga from the uk and the lady was fucking offended that I had an Aussie passport.
Can't way to go back next week and have some brit interrogate me on how long I want to stay ("but I live here!") and get upset about my lack of travel insurance.
Missus has been away this week, been driving her car for two reasons: you can drive it flat out everywhere and hen I drive like a twat in it it never goes below 35mpg

Young driver, dangerous car (by modern standards), probably a rising resale value. No idea on how desirable they are to thieves. Insurers are also masters at pulling stuff from their arses. I'd swap my car for a mini in a heartbeat
nice to see i'm not the only young driver being shafted by insurance. my parents were convinced i'd fucked up somehow, and even my aunt thought i must have done some dumb shit "i'm only paying 400 a year for my great big land rover!" ye but you're like 49
what year golf was it? and how old were you.
53 plate, i was 20 with a licence for 3 days

I wouldn't, too many nicked ones being rung with grafted on VIN plates

it's not about the value of the car, it's about what you could smash to bits with it. a mini with no abs, esp, airbags, etc could skid off the road where a modern car would grip, cripple all your friends and smash into the living room of a family of four

that's the face the old hag makes when she's running low on energy and needs to consume more children to get back to her regular fighting form

Youtube ads keep wanting to tell me about the end of Britain but I look outside and every thing is not on fire so ???

You can only ignore the public service cuts, increased tax, stagnant wages, hugely inflated property prices, company profit and general inflation increase, crime rate increase, standard of living decrease, retirement age increase and fluttering life expectancy rates for so long.

I didn't see fires, fiddles, or guillotines on that list so everything must be fine.

Go to the rough side of town and you'll find it hard NOT to find something on fire...

Car safety ratings can have a profound effect on insurance premiums. Older cars may not be as safe so they're seen as a liability in the event of a crash, with a greater chance of the insurance company having to pay out for expensive claims such as loss of life, loss of limbs or quality of life issues.

The pendulum has to swing back eventually
fuck the black box, don't care how much it reduces my premiums
My black box hasn't actually been working since January. I've been getting 100 bonus miles every month and a perfect driving score because apparently I've driven "0 miles" in 8 months
you're so fucked if something happens and the insurance company finds out
Claim ignorance - you never checked and you assumed it was working
claiming ignorance will just get them rock hard and make the pounding they give you hurt even more. would rather get busted up by my insurance company if they were limp tbh
Claim ignorance - you never checked and you assumed it was working
As someone that works in Insurance (not in claims handling though fuck that) I can assure you they'll find a way to catch you out.
My insurance haven't fitted my black box for over two months. I won't have to add any extra miles now! Got a new car today for myself. Delaying black box installation even more hah.

And I'm sat here with my Ford Fiesta Flame that drops out of 3rd gear.

I paid 4500 for the car with 35k milage. Insurance is always the main factor in which car I pick, but not many 22 year olds go for cars like this so it ends up being around the same price for a typical 22 year old car choice.
Farmfoods sells Pepsi for the same price as Asda but sells Party Rings for 10p cheaper so Walmart won't be getting any more of my money.
I used to go to Farmfoods since they sold nice drinks for 49p but then I realised that I didn't have any cash on me and I had to pay 49p on a debit card
