I have had a £4 ride to London on trains from Soton, if you are lucky. Btw, Is anyone going Joiners on Thursday? (Youth Man and Cassels are playing)
Getting to London for me is £21 but I'm stuck there until 7.
Christ what have I done. I've had a really shit day in work, and some absolute blend short changed me £3 and ran out the shop before I could do anything. I have to pay that in (shit policy I know). So in my mild rage I hop onto the local community page like a 40 year old mother and post that short changing our shop takes money from the employees not the business.
I didn't think employers could easily do that
I didn't think employers could easily do that
Within minutes the locals are calling for this mans head, CCTV images of him, and an outpouring of support to donate funds (because everyone loves us in that shop). It was only £3 but it's good to know the community have your back over something so trivial. If that man is found he'll probably be burnt in a Wickerman next harvest. Small communities ey.
They had the same policy at the petrol station I worked in. Some guy with an expensive Range Rover came in and filled up over £80. Left without paying, and because I was serving the till I was expected to pay the loss (I didn't though, they didn't chase me for it either). We also had an "organised" gang that would come in once a week. Their back passenger would jump out and fill up, and then dive back in and they'd speed off. Police were aware and told us not to approach them as apparently they had weapons in the boot, but each time they did this whoever was working would get in trouble. Luckily they never did it during my shift.

[sp]Police. Took fucking ages from the application stage to now.[/sp]
I think I told you before, but employers cannot make you pay for short till floats. It is illegal and you should tell them to go talk to an employment lawyer if they really think they can do that.

I wish I knew this back then, but this is probably why they didn't chase it.
This was Tesco by the way
Anyone in here practice archery?

I remember it well. But the new franchise manager seems grubby as fuck enough to fire anyone who speaks up against anything. My manager has tried to fight him wherever possible. Considering I'm leaving now I'm just going to ride out the rest of my days there.
Anyone in here practice archery?
I want to really badly, I used to. it's great fun. go for it.
the club at uni is full of weirdos though, so I've not bothered giving it a go. a bunch of mates who tried it during fresher's week also said it was a really painful experience cause the members are a strange bunch.
Anyone in here practice archery?
Define "practice"? I have my own bow but I'm not a regular shooter, just every now and then.

I always forget Fallout Boy were still a thing, Last time I actually enjoyed their stuff was back in 07-08

I quite like their new album tbh. Very appropriate name at the very least :v:
I have rediscovered cheese sandwiches, vegetarianism is at least slightly more achieveable now if not more desireable.
Can't say cheese is exactly healthy and I can't cook chow mein but hey, if I somehow end up in a vegetarian-majority household I can survive. Veganism is right out though, I think. Cheddar too smooth for that. Also, whoever suggested that yakitori soba noodles gave a fair shout, they're like those bbq pringles in noodle form.
I don't begrudge FoB for changing their style as they've aged but I'm really not a fan any more. I got to see them at the start of Save Rock and Roll and they played a lot of pre hiatus stuff with a nice acoustic set so I'm happy with that.
Tbh, Reading is usually always late with getting artists, I’m suprised they got PostMalone evn. It’s turned into this «nostalgia» festival, last year the big thing they got that was new, was the Queens of The Stone Age suprise gig and Against the Current
fuckin hell, my university society / sports club scene is DEAD. 90% of the shit I'm interested in on the student union page has Facebook groups that haven't had posts since 2014. what the fuck?

My uni is full of sports stuff, aside from the doctor who societies theres pretty much nothing for photography/video work, and the groups we do have are super cliche
Holy shit just fell in love with olives
Went to the shops, didn't fancy a meal deal so I got some chicken satays and some olives.
sat here eating endless amounts of olives for the past 3 hours
get garlic stuffed halkidiki olives, trust me on this.
[editline]14th February 2018[/editline]
my breakfast of champs is: hummus, sundried tomatoes & mozzarella, halkidiki garlic stuffed olives and some pitta bread. I'll add some precooked sausage in as well if I want something a bit more substantial.

Uni societies are always whack imo, when I looked at mine it was mostly 5 different communism societies and a vegan society, and the rest were sports

Oooo might try this, love me some garlic and hummus
Funeral went well, wasn't too sure on what to expect as our family is quite... distant to put it one way. Was nice to reconnect with a few aunts, uncles and cousins I've never seen before. Glad my family gave my grandmother a sending off she wanted. Now for a 2 hour train ride back home chilling n listening to synthwave.

gotta say I disagree. the old uni I flunked out of had a banging society list and all of them were insanely active. kicking myself for not taking advantage of em when I had the chance.
transferred to a shitty uni since they were the only ones who would even touch me after flunking, and it's deader than dead should be.
Oooo might try this, love me some garlic and hummus
best part is the garlics don't stink your breath to fuck cause they're pickled or whatever. you get a real nice mild garlic taste.

really shit to hear man, don't think I would've got through uni without being involved in a bunch of them. So glad Edinburgh has a really active society scene
I really wanna join the rowing club cause it's active and I've always loved rowing, but I know for a fact I'm not fit enough. plus it's a huge time commitment, 2 circuit sessions a week and 3 rowing sessions a week. the main thing stopping me from signing up is I know I'd be winded within 5 mins, and it's embarrassing cause from the outside, I look like a fit person, but I'm secretly a lardass.
been telling myself I'll get myself down to the gym and build up my cardio, but I've been telling myself that for a year and a half. fuck.
