I had genuinely thought that energy drinks were banned to sell to under 16's for years, anyway. I remember being asked for ID then got refused for trying to buy a small can of Red Bull when I was 15, and for years after that I was nicknamed "the girl who tried to buy energy drinks underage" :v:

I didn't have my ID on me, I had a cracking headache, and all I wanted was to buy them so I could take them and hopefully make my head stop feeling like it was getting split. I remember when the woman came over, I was confused as fuck and even said "I don't have any alcohol?" and she said it's for the panadol, and started busting my balls over it and refused to sell to me. it was one of the dumbest moments of my life.
Speaking of ID, Sainsburys are doing a mighty fine job checking it. They didn't accept my regular ID, so I had to go somewhere else. Next time I came I had my passport on me, and they believed I had falsified it because I was denied buying one Nukie and a pack of fags the day before...

It's only the normal shops that seem to.
What's next, sushi tax?
Plz no
This sugar tax shite is pissing me off from a medical point of view. I am Diabetic (have been for 37 years), and I am one of the Diabetics, who gets little or zero warnings about low blood sugar levels. So I always kept a good supply of Lucozade around me. Fridge was full of them, Have them next to me while using PC, next to bed, always had a bottle when going out. So when I had the low sugar issues I could take 1, wait 10 or so minutes to sort the situation out and carry on. Now I need to take 3 bottles to have the same effect as the pre-sugar tax ones (i.e drink over 1L of the stuff), as it is basically just coloured fart scented piss water now (it's only way I can describe how it tastes now). So yeah thanks Sugar Tax, I hope the extra money you don't make helps fund the extra money the NHS is going to need since you have removed an important source of glucose from the 3.5-4.0Mil Diabetics in the UK.
my little cousin is diabetic and just has glucose tablets or something. it seems a lot more intuitive to use them instead of having to guzzle down 500ml of lucozade.
That's kind of the ironic thing. The glucose tablets and glucose drinks you can get to help, make me sick and give me severe migraines. No idea what I have issues with in the tablets\drinks but the only other thing I know of that does the same is bacon flavoured crisps. So that left Lucozade as my only option.
I stay away from energy drinks with sugar, usually grab 3 cans of sugar free monster or the KX shit from Tesco whenever I DJ, simply so I don't get a sugar crash at 2AM and feel like absolute shit
The only time I ever have energy drinks if I'm away for work and jet lagged, or on a night job and it's hitting 3 am and I just get some mad dry mouth craving for one. Only the 250ml ones though and I normally drink it in one But I do drink litres of coffee every day, no sugar there mind
This energy drink ban, is it law or just something shops are doing voluntarily?
As far as I know its up to the shops to enforce it. Not a total ban.
I'm gonna be in London on Friday to do a portrait in the day, Edinburgh on Sunday to catch up with a friend, and Monday in London right before I fly off back home. Let me know if any of you want a picture, CV, portrait, couple, family portrait, dog portrait or just a coffee with me
Fire me a text if you're about edinburgh on sunday and have a free bit of time, I wouldn't complain if you wanted to get a photo of me looking beautiful.
This energy drink ban, is it law or just something shops are doing voluntarily?
Just something shops are doing because of the recent "think of the children!" and health issues/reports due to too much sugar in your diet cropping up. They just don't want to look bad, so they're trying to "follow the market".
Fire me a text if you're about edinburgh on sunday and have a free bit of time, I wouldn't complain if you wanted to get a photo of me looking beautiful.
aye this too, would be good to see more FP folk about in the region that don't eat their own hair. Mind codenamecueball probably would have way more photography chat tho
Drinking sweeteners makes my digestive system have a horrendous reaction and results in diarrhoea-- sometimes even bloody. So I've basically sworn off all of these fucking soft drinks now. Thank fuck I don't mix my booze with mixers.

preferably demonstrate in the clinic the exact problem. just chug a coke zero beforehand and then shit in the corner of the GP's office and point at it and say "look, blood" https://youtu.be/rO3JkTZ3PVg?t=15

As soon as you stand up when your name is called you should already be displaying the problem Just whip your trousers off as you walk in.

Still better to err on the side of caution with these things.
Just managed to buy some pre-tax Rockstar from the corner shop, aw yis.
Speaking of bloodied diarrhoea, when are we getting our beloved KFC supply back? It says disruption for the next week and the local is closed; Haribo Starmix for dinner it is then. :(

I have an underlying IBD (not IBS) that is triggered by certain foods, and sweeteners in particular cause it because it irritates my weak entrails. Dairy also gives me the shits, albeit not bloody. The reason it's bloody isn't because of intestinal bleeding, it's sphincter irritation. It's also why I've had weight issues all my life. Flare-ups are rare but they munter me like fuck when they happen. [editline]20th February 2018[/editline] Yes, I have been to the doctor about it, before you ask.
Sounds rough But speaking of foods that'll fuck you up, house is empty tomorrow some I'm getting some fuckin Chinese, lads Going to try some new shit too while I'm there What would you recommend (there all the same anyway)
Why do y'all drink so much shite :v: I mostly have water, fresh coffee, and tea. Cut sugar out of my diet a while back, sure is fucking hard getting over sugar addiction which most people have.
