I usually drink coffee, tea is best when you are sick tbh Fresh coffee or tea any day then teabags and instant
I've decided to keep track of what I drink today. I've had 2 coffees and am on my fifth tea
bought myself a little gadget [t]https://i.imgur.com/nb3nD7E.jpg[/t] a bit pointless without the other deck & mixer but like hell was I letting £1.8K go out of my account all at once cumin 2 a big cheese near u
Could've got the XDJ RX2 like I've just bought which comes with the second CDJ and the mixer integrated and still have some pocket money left! Also, just got a smart meter from OVO (switched from the incompetent fucks that are Scottish Power and the average British/Scottish Gas, saving money too - use Uswitch!). Next day installation and works with Electric & Gas. Decent!
I really want a smart meter, just waiting for my utility company to hand em out for free like they did with my nest thermostat
I really want a smart meter, just waiting for my utility company to hand em out for free like they did with my nest thermostat
They'll probably give you one free if you ring up. Scottish Power offered too but the installation guy fucked off because the cabinet was too small.
Smartmeters are awesome, I didn't even know they were a thing until I moved here, in saying that there are a lot of things that I didn't know existed that are stupidly handy
just had the mango and peach coke, peach one is shite and mango is ace shame theyre both diet ://
This is the first I'm hearing of this, I fuckin love mango, best fruit tbh
Can't remember if you were in Southampton, if you were, fucking Zen is soo goood (Japanese though), and it's 20% off takeaway and 10% more if you come and get it instead of delivery.
if you like Japanese try Sakura (near Grosvenor Place), the curry is amazing (and the portion sizes are excellent as well) - they were doing 20% off at lunchtimes a couple months back, but they may have stopped that (I say this having never tried Zen, will use this post as an excuse to try it) though if you can travel a bit, Nippon Inn in Bournemouth (Charminster) is entirely next level, a tiny bit more expensive for the portion size but well worth it; I usually have the curry, but I took some friends who stayed out in JP for a couple of years and they said the sushi was "the closest thing they'd had to being out there" since returning. Gets quite busy though (especially in the evening and at weekends), so be prepared to book a table, or possibly come back in 20 minutes or so
Nippon Inn is a 10 minute walk away from me and it's fucking fantastic. Fyi.
Nippon Inn is a 10 minute walk away from me and it's fucking fantastic. Fyi.
as someone that lives a 25 minute drive away and still visits way more often than they probably should, I envy you so, so much
Bricked my dashcam today and don't have the receipt, but Nextbase support said that Halfords will accept a bank statement instead. Has anyone tried this?
Bricked my dashcam today and don't have the receipt, but Nextbase support said that Halfords will accept a bank statement instead. Has anyone tried this?
I've done this in the past. Only receipts I keep are for really, really expensive shit. Anything less than £300, you bet your ass the receipt is gonna end up lost. I just went to my local branch, got them to print out a statement, and then highlighted the store purchase and took it in. IIRC, it was at Curry's / PC World. They were chill about it and I got my refund.
Could've got the XDJ RX2 like I've just bought which comes with the second CDJ and the mixer integrated and still have some pocket money left!
Don't want to lock myself into a single ecosystem though. With the XDJ RX2 there's no ability to use your own mixer or expand on the amount of inputs. Sure, you get a few more hot cues and beat jump, but can't say I've ever really needed it when using the CDJ2000 Nexus'. Given the XDJ700 is pretty much a mini 2000 nexus, only lacks physical buttons and vinyl adjust, seemed like a good fit for me for the price. Whilst it will be overall pricier, i'm gonna grab an Allen & Heath Xone:43C mixer, gives me the opportunity to integrate with serato / Rekordbox DJ if I so desire, and potentially link a laptop in with Reason and use that as an external FX unit. Personally prefer the idea of expandability considering I don't really want to put all my eggs in a pioneer basket. If I'd had the £1500 just in my account, would've gone for a Denon SC5000 instead. Sure, the prime software is a bit naff, but that's two decks you've got in one unit with a lot of controller-like features on it. Gonna also grab flightcases and decksavers, and locally hire them out as I know folk who've expressed an interest in using them
Starter motor on my moped has gone, smashed the front of it in a crash in december last year (when we had that snow) but somehow it's still going. Fuck it though, I'm getting a car :v:

Though expensive, It’s super cheap if you can eat enough sushi. Sunday eapecially, it’s £16 for all you can eat dragon rolls, salmon avocado, shrimp & salmon nigiris, California maki, Chicken Katau, Tuna, Spicy Tuna, Squid are hjust some of the pieces they boost, along with an amazing miso soup. Highly reccomended, just don’t eat the day before so you can fit like 40-60 pieces. My friend wanted to get Sakura at one point, should try it now
I spent a week without internet while changing services and all I got was a terrible sense of understimpulation rather than enlightenment.
"a terrible sense of undersimulation" fancy way of saying you're bored as a slag on her period
They'll probably give you one free if you ring up. Scottish Power offered too but the installation guy fucked off because the cabinet was too small.
weirdly the almost same thing happened to us. They came in, took a few measurements, and haven't heard anything - even a "can't do it lol" - from them in almost 9 months. Arseholes.
Everyone seems to get really excited about smart meters. Just seems incredibly boring, I suppose not having to crawl under the stairs every 6 months or so is an exciting prospect. And I suppose it's somewhat cool to put the kettle on, running to your smart meter and confirming that yes, the kettle does use alot of electricity. We don't have one, but maybe one day we will and it'll be life-changing, ain't holding my breath though [editline]23rd February 2018[/editline] Actually more likely is that I'm just a miserable git [editline]23rd February 2018[/editline] Actually I think the fact I work with developers who reckon everything should be connected and smart colours my opinion of it. Smart meters are probably the only thing that's worth making smart
They're more interesting if you have renewable energy sources for your house.
Moved down near Southampton. What's good down here because I feel like a fucking alien
Moved down near Southampton. What's good down here because I feel like a fucking alien
Pubs in Soton to check out is Heartbreakers, Hobbit, Joiners, Talking Heads + Maple Leaf, 1865, Engine Rooms. If we go by music spots
just had the mango and peach coke, peach one is shite and mango is ace shame theyre both diet ://
Tesco near me stopped stocking Orange/Mango Robinson's, and the 'Fruit Creations' double expensive shite was out of stock, so they've forced my hand and I'm on the Mango coke now. Mango really is the best, wouldn't surprise me if the government reclassified it as a Class A narcotic.
Had my first cadbury creme egg of the year and it tasted fucking horrible. Cadbury should lose their royal warrant.
Cadbury is too sweet imo
Cadbury's is owned by yanks now, isn't it? Their food is like the cheapest shit which is why they have to brainwash nationalism into them otherwise they'd find out that even bad food elsewhere is better than theirs. Like how the USSR wouldn't show capitalist films so their population wouldn't see the opulence of the even the lowest classes.
I have a weirdly specific memory of watching this exact thing happen, curiosity made me check if someone had put it on youtube and weirdly they had well, there's the origins of a bukkake fetish right there. Always thought the beeb were trying to do it with every single kid's show having gunge in it in some form or another...
