Really hope I won't be grounded in India because of this...
all this scaremongering and lol the weather has been fine where I'm at (north east, yorkshire). bit of snow on the roads but traffic was pretty much as bad as it always is tbf
I can't believe I moved all the way to South Yorkshire from the south, and I'm getting fuck all snow while my family are getting shit tons. The greggs aren't even worth it
Yeah im well and truely snowed in in the SE, Not that I was gonna go out today anyway. On medication that annoyingly has bad interactions with all sinus relief meds, the pain is fucking unbearable.
You gotta avoid country roads on a snow day, that's like rule 101 of driving in the snow. Not much help now but hindsight is beautiful.
Aye but it's that short road or an extra 20 mins to work. Suppose jokes on me but I had fun and got some nice dashcam footage
Yorkshire. Why? [sp]Where I used to live in Wales would be fucking snowed in and more, fucking west dyfed shit race[/sp]
My partner lives here, so after I graduated I moved up here too. The north is very friendly!! [editline]27th February 2018[/editline]
Isn't South Yorkshire its own micro climate. Were they wrong though :~) Leeds is nice, and I love the fact that the laddy chant they have is just shouting "LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS"
Yorkshire. Why? [sp]Where I used to live in Wales would be fucking snowed in and more, fucking west dyfed shit race[/sp]
You got a problem with Yorkshire, boy?
no / very little snow up in edinburgh but there's a guy at this event i'm working at who looks the spit of sam hyde, bit terrifying
East Sussex is snowed in, eastbourne and hastings primarily meanhwhile here in southampton not a single bit
No snow here in bucks. We have had some light sprinkles but nothing that settled. I either need it to snow heavy enough to close the school I work for or not at all. Any middle ground will make it hard to get to work by motorbike.
im hit and miss, would like to see snow again after 6 years without it, but still I know if it does drop my house is going to fucking freeze to death
what the fuck is this white stuff that covered chadderton and why is it here
This week's been a rollercoaster, my grandma died on Sunday night (boo), we finally exchanged contracts for our house (yay). And tomorrow I'm going to Denmark for 9 days. Not massively thrilled about that one with the timing, but it means I'll be doing proper work for the first time in ages

Sat in a shed on the highest hill in essex, oiling church pews and freezing my bollocks off. Fuck this cold.
i was helping drama society make props, and we were putting plaster of paris on some shit and the cold coupled with how windy it was meant we have to take it in shifts, cause the water on our hands was genuinely hurting so bad
You mad bastard, I would not consider riding with air temps so far below zero overnight, the snow is the least of your worries.
Riding in cold temps isn't that bad, it was -3 when I left home this morning for work, as long as you have the correct gear and handlebar heaters, it's pretty warm. I find myself colder walking around at lunch with a jacket and jumper on than riding to work

Hello, back home after 15 hour flight You guys mind explaining how come you guys close trains and roads when its like x100 worst in Siberia or Canada
Hello, back home after 15 hour flight You guys mind explaining how come you guys close trains and roads when its like x100 worst in Siberia or Canada
We don't deal with Snow, we just stay out of its way. It's too powerful for us.
Hello, back home after 15 hour flight You guys mind explaining how come you guys close trains and roads when its like x100 worst in Siberia or Canada
They're actually prepared for it.
I mostly worry about black ice not getting cold!
Oh, I forgot that was a thing, now I'm going to be paranoid riding :v In saying that central London roads are so busy that I don't think it'll be as much of an issue as it could be further out
Oh, I forgot that was a thing, now I'm going to be paranoid riding :v In saying that central London roads are so busy that I don't think it'll be as much of an issue as it could be further out
Ah that explains it. Took my bike out the other week, rode 100 yards down the road, slid massively on some black ice, noped all the way back to my garage.
Ah that explains it. Took my bike out the other week, rode 100 yards down the road, slid massively on some black ice, noped all the way back to my garage.
Honestly it's probably something I should think of, but considering that I've mostly ridden in Australia until recently it didn't even cross my mind until you mentioned it
i'[m trying to find someone who's optimistic enough in edinburgh to loan me a deckchair so i can sunbathe in the snow [editline]27th February 2018[/editline] also as you're all internet neckbeards i imagine you haven't but if you can be arsed, might i suggest you grab a shovel and find your nearest grit bit and do the pavement around you and your neighbours houses - it might help an old person make it out to the shops or something
