Sadly that's a big if.
is there a fifa thread
I've had a cash machine not dispense the money to me once, I was refunded immediately. These things have failsafes in them, if you're not refunded when that happens you can contact your bank who will sort it out.
You should contact your bank ASAP to find out if the money was taken. If it is, you need to notify the police. Cash machines have CCTV in them so should be able to get a good picture of the suspect.
i've never seen a football thread on this site world cup soon ennit
What is wrong with some old people? I was at the bus stop today after work, and this old woman sits near me, drops her umbrella and walking stick so I pick them up for her, being a nice polite young man She doesn't say thank you, and instead spills her coffee which goes all over my shoes. Again, she doesn't apologise, she just walks off to put it in the bin saying "was going enjoy drinking that!" I was going to enjoy having dry shoes but looks like we can't all have what we want eh Anyway, I have my headphones in, looking at my phone, when I see her gesturing towards me in the corner of my eye. I think, ah, she must be about to apologise. Nope. Instead, she informs me she's seen 497 of "them" this morning (pointing to my phone in a distasteful manner) and then proceeds to explain how she ought to smash it and throw it in a bin. Bitch, I pray to God you fucking try it. I will cut you down with the swiftness. Why can't they all just fuck off?
It's the radio they listen to and books they read, honestly I bet half of them don't even know how use hieroglyphics and stone chistles. And they call that ragtime noise music? Back in my day we just had a tambourine without any bells and music MEANT something. Honestly, the moment someone deliberately started putting seeds in the ground with this 'farming' claptrap is the day this country went to the dogs.
shouldve just dropped some bombshell truth on her, she sounds iike a legit loser, old and bitter and never amounted to anything in her life
Regarding the hatred of phones, that's sort of like my mum, except she takes it down a hypocritical road; she despises "this generation"'s use of mobile phones yet she also is obsessed with her phone - you could honestly scream in her face and she will blank you if she's on her phone. Without sounding too much like "god damn old people", I've found that hypocrisy is a common issue with the critics of the recent oh-so-terrible generations.
I basically live in death's waiting room and fuck me are old people some of the rudest cunts around. The other day I had an old fat guy throw a literal tantrum because the cash machine in the bank was out of order, and he had to queue behind my partner and I. This dude wasn't even like senile or anything, he was just an entitled wanker, storming around the building, swearing and screaming, stamping his feet, constantly interrupting a member of staff while she was trying to talk to me just to bitch at her more. Just as I got done sorting out what I came to do, the dude had the fucking cheek to momentarily pause hurling sexist comments at the staff to tell me that young people like me have no respect these days, and that It would be only proper to let him go in front of us. I wanted to tell the dickhead to fuck off the entire time I was there, but he was already having a complete melt down and I didn't want to make things worse for the staff. Looked like a security guard threw him out shortly after we left anyway.
I can understand the old Biddy's hatred of phones, people do get too involved in them sometimes.
you shouldve said id like to see you try you old cow
Back when I was a barista bitch some of the worst customers were the older ones (minus that one undercut prick that tried the old "I paid with a £50" lark, I pointed to the camera over the till and asked if he wanted to keep up that act.) But then some of the nicest and most polite customers were old folks, guess it's just who you run into.
Having worked in a coffee shop where the majority of its customer base were old people. A lot of them were really nice and polite. Remembering their drinks order always put a smile on their face.
moving house is such an arduous process we locked in a property and my girlfriend turns around on the DAY we were supposed to sign the contract and says she doesn't have the money despite telling us she did so our relationship's most likely over because she pulls sketchy money shit on me all the time and I've had e-fucking-nough of that and now we've just locked in a new place and I gotta be ready to move by friday fucking jesus christ on tap-dancing icebikes
Some old people are amazing, and super nice. I tend to find people that are between 45-60/70 is the "wanks" that always blame everyone else
Huh thats really bizarre, does she actually have no money or is she just really weird like some people are all yeah yeah its no problem then they freak out when it comes to actually parting with the money. how did she manage so far paying rent etc. We have only been in this house 6 months and got pretty lucky with it, its a huge 3 bedroom house and walking distance to both our works as well as 10 mins walk to the train station + town center, we were intending on staying here potentially a good few years but at 5 months in we get a random letter through the door saying we have 60 days to get out cause the landlord wants to sell it. Renting is terrible here atm, there is such a high demand that every single property has dozens of viewings booked immediately and someone usually instantly goes for it and puts the fees down, then even if you get in early most landlords have the pick and will pick someone who doesn't need a guarantor over you so you basically need to offer 6 months rent upfront in order to be eligible. Then there's the letting agents ripping people off left right and center, I look forward to the rental fees ban next year because imo letting agency fees are doing serious damage to this generation of renters and its getting out of control now.
Fucked up innit? Old people are either arseholes, or very nice (if ur reading this nan)
she owes me £600-odd for rent, it was around £1200 before she paid some off and it's just ridiculous watching someone slowly get comfortable with leeching from you while you slowly question yourself until you make two great friends who point out things that other people have said before to me such as manipulative behaviours etc between the (now three) four of us we lost £700 on agency fees - she could have told us before that. she definitely should have told us after that. but she just hinted to me that she might be struggling 'a bit' with it, never outright said 'we can't afford this place, we have to cancel it, tell the other guys' but instead it was always 'i'm not sure if i can afford this place' and then i'd ask her and it'd end in her telling me it's okay she just cannot make choices or really do much for herself and i've gone from feeling like her boyfriend to her fucking carer my heart's in pieces but i don't know what else to do other than let her go back to our hometown and learn how to fend for her goddamn self financially
The wite I'm using to learn French also has a course (though not as substancial) for Quenya Elvish but I'm not sure trying to learn two languages is a good idea, any advice?
When I was in college quite a few years back, an elderly man started having a heart attack at the bus stop I was waiting at. Everyone was ignoring him because he smelt like booze, but I called him an ambulance, sat him in the shelter and put my hoodie over him to keep him warm. I ended up missing two buses waiting with him. I will always remember hearing some old woman say "I bet she caused him to have it, one look at her piercings" as he was loaded into an ambulance. Someone else called me a "disrespectful teenager" for having an ear bud in my ear during this event (no music was playing). None of these people helped at all with this man, but felt the need to comment on my looks and age. Shocking. I just cannot get over the audacity of some people. Sometimes you meet an absolutely lovely elderly person, but for every gem there are plenty of rude, entitled pricks. Respect is earned in my opinion, not just immediately given because of age. To make it worse I got in trouble for being late to college
I just beat SWAT 4. Tough game, I know why bobbies jump on you for having a butter knife after getting 3 armed fanatics open a door and gun you down and getting insta-sniped through a window. Realistic my arse on that last one...
Just want to chime in and say you guys make very good Comedy TV shows. Thanks, Australia
And thank you for Tim Minchin and Axis of Awesome.
No problem, glad we could be of service.
Went out last night with some friends, first thing we see after getting out of the Taxi is a trail of blood leading to a man having a seizure on the floor with 2 paramedics next to him in a puddle of blood. Other than that it was a good night
Tiger roll you fucking beauty!!!!
Anyone bought glasses online? I went to the opticians for the first time in 5 years, my prescription has barely changed but my frames are old. And i dont want to pay what they're charging for frames
I've used glassesdirect.co.uk - they always have an offer on of some sort. good quality i've found
I got my current pair from Specsavers, Boots are a fucking rip-off. If you do buy online, it may be worth going into the highstreet and at least trying some pairs on
