Anyone else get cold symptoms around this time of year? Had a sore throat & blocked nose for two weeks now. Wish the hot weather would burn away my cold but it doesn't seeme to be working.
My hayfever has been twinging a little over this last week so could be that?
I've had a cough for 6 weeks now. I recall having this Nov last year (loads of people did) but this one's a tad more sore. GP time methinks.
tuberculosis
Smh you badger shagger.
Could be pollen related, a lot of trees/plants start releasing pollen in March-April time. Even if you dont usually suffer general hayfever sometimes pollens from certain plants in the area can cause similar symptoms to a cold
I will forever curse our families decision to move to a sea town with a god damn stoney, gravelly beach
Might be... I've been taking allergy relief tablets which stop my eyes from crusting over but I've still got cold-like symptoms. I guess I'm unlucky and/or probably dying. If it persists for another week I'll see my GP.
Absolutely fuming lads. I'm travelling to Japan on Tuesday to visit my Girlfriend who's out there 4 months teaching English. Air France send me an email today (right as their call centres shut) to say they'd cancelled my flight because of strikes. Their alternatives are a free re-booking to fly a week later, but the same courtesy isn't extended to my return journey, so I'm only getting half a holiday effectively. I've just sent a strongly worded letter demanding to be put on a Business class flight leaving tomorrow evening instead. I can't remember being this angry in my life.
Let us know how it goes, that sounds like proper bullshit they can't rebook you return
Fingers crossed they get me on their Business class flight. Turns out they're also a part of the Star Alliance, and they have 3 airlines offering similar flights in the same timeframe so if they won't upgrade my flight, I'll throw them the lifeline of getting my regular class of flight with one of their sister airlines and still never fly with air france ever again because they're utter scumbags. I've spoken with some family and friends who fly frequently, and none of them have anything good to say about Air France. Some lessons you learn the hard way.
Did you take out insurance? Most policies cover you in the event of industrial action so at the very least if you have to cancel you can claim back the cost.
I do have insurance yeah, but right now I don't see the need for going for a full refund when I can potentially get something better out of it, or at least the same service.
i am currently posting in the hot one
what's her name? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
My dissertation is so close to done, I just want it to be over.
don't get why there's all this vegan graffiti kicking about in ed it's as if they're thinking people will go "sure, the vast amount of information and general knowledge out there about veganism wasn't enough to make me change, but now that somebody has spray painted "go vegan" onto a wall, I'm a changed man"
whats up with all this pussy graffiti lately? i saw an anarchist symbol with "you look good today" written next to it, yeah real tough, at least gang tags told you what areas to avoid at night. that's the kind of thing you post on facebook and no one cares, so why write it on a wall?
I'm seeing a lot of "Imaginary friends are for children" graffiti next to religious symbols, around my town.
Well, Air France can go gargle a bag of dicks. Been on the phone with them for 3 and 3 quarter hours and this is where we're currently at. My original booking had premium economy seating to Seoul (and a connector flight to Nagoya). Air France have instead booked me onto a Japan Airlines flight going straight to Tokyo from Heathrow, but have downgraded my seat so I'm looking at 12 hours with no legroom. I've bene trying to get this changed to match my original booking since I explicitly paid extra for Premium Economy, "Sorry sir there's nothing we can do here, JAL use a different system to us and we can only book basic tickets. You're free to purchase a Premium Economy upgrade however, and we can refund you a portion of the cost. Or we can give you a voucher for an amount of money that you can use on Air France flights in the next year". I said that wouldn't do me much good, because after this I didn't intend to ever fly Air France again. I then got told that my attitude wasn't very helpful and my call was being transferred. Rinse and repeat for 3 hours, JAL confirmed there wasn't anything they could do on their end because Air France bought me the ticket. Why is getting a flight in the seat you paid for so fucking hard? Don't fly Air France lads, I'd rather take an Easyjet to Japan at this rate.
This is why I stick with British Airways or American Airlines. The one time I flew with a different airline (Aer Lingus and United) they lost my bag for over 2 weeks, took another 1-2 weeks to get it back and then a further 4 months to claim back compensation from stuff I had to buy the other end. Still got nothing on your dilemma though :-/
The funniest graffiti I've seen in Edinburgh lately was someone gouged a giant "/b/" onto the Scientology plaque at their door. The rest is the usual tumblr-esque shite.
"Air France." Well there's your problem, it's full of French people.
Unfortunately, I don't know of any airline that cant go eat a dick. Absolute turd customer service is just accepted and expected in the industry nowadays and it's a race to the bottom on price.
I've always found Singapore Airlines to be good for visiting family in Australia.
niggas be sleeping on the beano rap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxh5Csf4jOo
I remember seeing a crowd on Hunter Square in their Guy Fawkes masks about a ten years ago, presumably in some form of disorganised protest against Scientology. Glad to see some renegade has taken it upon themselves to keep the flame of mild inconvenience burning.
I used to have Beano Videostars on VHS when I was little, must have watched it 100s of times, what a blast from the past. For some reason watching it now I find it very unsettling https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUcQ_u_ZQkw
One of my molars broke (it's been rotting for years -- entirely my fault for not brushing enough as a teenager) and the bastard dentists won't see me for three weeks because I can't afford to go private. At least it's not painful (ATM, at least, fingers crossed) because the nerve died. Hooray!
I have always had good teeth but my one filling in a molar fell out a few years ago and I stupidly never got it seen to cause it didn't really hurt and having not been to the dentist for years theres always that anxiety that they are gonna lecture you or tell you that you need 20 fillings. My old dentist must have been kinda crap cause the filling was really painful being put in and that was the last time I went to the dentist. Had a few flare ups of extreme pain and the final one some of my tooth just broke off while I was eating and the pain lasted a couple of weeks with me taking the max dosage of painkillers every day but like every dentist in the area was fully booked and I had to wait another 1-2 months to get it pulled and have 2 fillings at the same time. Super glad I did though cause it's nice being able to eat foods without worrying at all whether or not its gonna hit something and cause a flare up. I was starting to worry as well cause it was probably infected/decaying and having that attached into your jawbone really can't be good, my lymph nodes under my jaw were tender to the touch all the time and I was worried that I could have an infection spread to my jawbone or cause sepsis or something. The moral is just go to the dentist because you can't hide from teeth problems and they just get worse and worse as time goes on, most dentists have probably seen way worse and you are paying them to help you, mine was really nice and I just told him I hadn't been in years and just wanted to get past the anxiety and get everything sorted/start having regular appointments to catch any issues early cause tooth pain is the worst thing.
