Fuck. I need more gritty sci-fi with super realistic visuals. Too much stuff has been clean or unrealistically modelled. I need this. Or something like this.
The overhead shot where the monster destroys the ship should have been more polished before being released. Otherwise, looks fantastic and would love another good monster film.
here's the real question: if their eggs have matter which lets ships travel faster than light how did humans find these creatures to begin with [editline]20th March 2015[/editline] Looks cool as hell though. I got a lot of Outlander vibes from this.
I think I got all I needed out of this little teaser. It doesn't seem very deep or driving for a plot. And... I found the FTL explanation kind of cliche. It was cool looking, but that's about it.
What's the implication?
Essentially the Square-Cube Law is that an object volume increases faster than its surface area. It's why things like Godzilla would never happen. I'm not 100% and i'm sure one of you would kindly correct me but that more or less means the bigger and denser something is, the more gravity would effect it and it would collapse in on itself. But again, someone please correct me.
That's really dumb/unlikely, especially if it's the only way to get such an important resource. There's a difference between not caring much about safety and deliberately not using simple tech just to make things unreasonably difficult.
Trailer intro [T]http://i.gyazo.com/c482781a0ee07f47f04201a62202fae8.png[/T] As for everything else, rule of cool and shit to forward the plot.
The people who are complaining about the technical impossibilities and science behind this are missing the point the same as people who watched Pacific Rim and did nothing but lecture about how dumb it is to build giant robots to fight giant monsters. Like, if you can't see the appeal in that or think that's dumb, it's not for you. I thought the trailer was cool as fuck. The visuals and style are gorgeous. It's like seeing awesome sci-fi concept art brought to life. I'd definitely watch a movie out of something that looked this good. I don't care if it's just Moby Dick in space because dude, it's Moby Dick in space!
To be honest there's a lot of potential for this if you tune the writing just the right way. These kinds of visuals are definitely on-point too(Harlock 2013, anyone?) I love the concept, hoping it goes somewhere.

I fuckin' love monster movies and i can't wait to see if this movie gets greenlit.
I still would like to see a live adaptation of one of the Battletech novels. Giant robots, fighting giant robots, removing eachothers limbs and the pilot feels everything.
I don't really see how you can turn this into a full engaging movie that's anything deeper than 'cool scifi and shooting space aliens' Visually though it's fucking awesome, I'd love to see some more scifi on gas giants and it's a hell of a lot less generic than most stuff so could be gud.
