I got an apartment in Moscow for a week in April and took the Saspan to St. Petersburg for a day to visit a family friend. Both Moscow and St. Petersburg were breathtakingly gorgeous. I have a multi entry visa good till 2018 so I'm planning to go back in a few years.
A picture of the street where I stayed, it's a few blocks away from Тру́бная metro station.

On the last panel, in the translation, you can't tell where does "Do you want to be spent" come from, because the left money pack doesn't express the relief after they could have been caught by RED team like in original, but just tells the right one to shut up (while it was actually the right one telling the left one to shut).
Basically I'd translate
the left one: "Чуть не попались!"
right one: "Заткнись! Хочешь, чтобы тебя потратили?"
By the way what font is used for the first and last speechbubbles?
Here's a picture my father took in mid 1980s Leningrad near the Здание Главного штаба on the outside of the Арка Главного штаба (not sure if Russian is correct, the General Staff Building).

If you compare this picture to the post-Soviet picture I posted previously the differences you pointed out become very apparent.
Here's another picture I took of the Арка Главного штаба for more comparison.

What gets me is the notable emptiness of the street in the first photo, the lack of cars, etc.

It's overpriced.
I'd rather go to local "Ozoda" cafe and get a full-course meal with kompot for 150 rubles then blew away, what, like 20 bucks on one coffee? Screw that shit.
