It's as if the drug addicted sister somehow got a clone of the kid and then told the original sister that she's going to try and raise her the 'proper' way, and the clone ends up growing up to be a drug-addicted prostitute

It's a dark comedy drama about a vampire - Mitchell, werewolf - George - and ghost -Annie - who, through a series of circumstances, share a house in Bristol. It sounds like a pretty crappy premise, but the scripting is very clever - and funny - and there's lots of dark stuff going on - who killed the ghost, how Mitchell's return has impacted the vampire underground community etc.
At least some of it should be available on iPlayer. If you like Misfits, I very much recommend this.
It's back in January, I might make a thread about it soon.
