Sam's blackface was a nice touch. I was surprised they were allowed to get that past the censors.
Wait, Sam wasn't actually in blackface was he? I thought he was just doing an accent. [editline]20th August 2016[/editline] That was definitely the best episode.. I think it might be the best MDE production so far. Next week is supposedly more of this caliber.
That teacher one was really dark haha
just quickly, im going to take an assumption that [as] made them censor that symbol the batman killer made and put a peace symbol with any title sequence with that

It was very light though, I guess they can't get everything through the censors. Even though I'm not a huge fan of them, I'm still watching because I just don't get it. It's cool aesthetically, and I did like most of the teacher scene.
Honestly not a bad show.
Charls is saying "Vote Trump" at the end during the musical segment. Adult Swim censored his trump beanie that he is pointing to.
well you wouldn't expect [as] which is owned by Turner who has donated incredibly heavily into Hilary's presidential fund to allow something like that to get on the network
well you wouldn't expect [as] which is owned by Turner who has donated incredibly heavily into Hilary's presidential fund to allow something like that to get on the network
i'm surprised they got charls saying "kill politicians" on air
Filming on an incline was really clever for the teacher bit. It took me a second to realize what was going on but that was pretty brilliant.
yeah that teacher skit was so well done honestly, beats the boss skit from last episode, i wonder if they'll keep doing this
http://www.adultswim.com/misc/mde-john-hell/ for some reason i'm able to watch it using this link but not in the actual videos section
http://www.adultswim.com/misc/mde-john-hell/ for some reason i'm able to watch it using this link but not in the actual videos section
The actual videos section is how you watch with a cable login, the link you posted is basically a promo page where they let anybody watch it.
I'm not sure how I feel about this show yet. Its not bad and I really enjoyed the teacher skit in the last ep but its not all that funny to me.
I'm not sure how I feel about this show yet. It feels like the spontaneous nature of the ideas is better on paper than execution which isn't helped by the fact they've got to fight to get stuff on the air. I do hope this nets them more fans and spurs them on to do more youtube on-the-spot work.
I feel like the last episode was the best one yet. I think the overarching gag of a woman using and throwing out the MDE guys just got more and more ridiculous over the episode, and that's what made it great. The "how to make tap water" sketch was spot on satire about how gross tap water really is when you think about it. I'm guessing the toothpaste was a reference to fluoride in our water. The teacher sketch was probably the weakest of the three, but it was still really good.
The teacher sketch was probably the weakest of the three, but it was still really good.
what i think it's easily the most poignant and meaningful of the skits, if anything. the others are blatant humor, the teacher sketch was so abstract and crazy
btw facepunch user Ms. Gyroscope is featured in the credits for additional music in world peace episode 3
That transition into the pseudo-music video thing was really cool
what i think it's easily the most poignant and meaningful of the skits, if anything. the others are blatant humor, the teacher sketch was so abstract and crazy
I meant in terms of comedy. In terms of things like social commentary overall smartness, the teacher sketch is the best. It's more subtle than the others. But I think the first two were more laugh out loud funny.
Wait. Isn't the episodes name "3 Down 47 To Go Countdown to Mass Funeral" a reference to the number of people supposedly killed by the Clintons? :v:
Just a note, the next episode of this, Brad Neely's, and Eric Andre's shows are currently up on the Adult Swim website.
Episode 4 leaks here
this mde show isn't really that funny but its really cool to watch for some reason i like the whole tap water and teacher segments. glad that adult swim gave them a budget for stuff like that
i gotta use that gorilla dick daddy pickup line
You know, I really get the feeling there's nothing under those censor bars. If they were really that outlandish or offensive, Adult Swim would have made them create new openings. I think Sam is just "censoring" them and spinning ridiculous rumors just to see how pissed his fanbase gets. Sam likes to do shit like that.
this mde show isn't really that funny but its really cool to watch for some reason
this is how i feel about million dollar extreme in general.
The giant politically-incorrect frame rants are vital to MDE production videos. There's text under there, I'm sure of it.
If Adult Swim really wanted to censor Sam, they wouldn't have allowed the sketch in the last episode where Sam plays off of black stereotypes, or have Nick pretend to hang himself, or even allow the bullying sketch in the first episode considering the amount of teen suicides and mass school shootings, and of course, Jews Rock. Adult Swim had to know what Sam did when they picked up the show. There's something else going on here. Sam's entire shtick is that he's a paranoid counter-culture alt-right comedian.
