No, he literally had no ideas, he's even admitted he had no ideas and said it was slack of him not to but he just didn't have any at the time.
With all respect to him where intended because he's a great musician but during the Wall and Animals he could have been hired out for session work (as he eventually was) and still made a similar contribution. But that's fine in the end, it wasn't really his fault divorce etc

What's even more ironic is that Roger initially auditioned for the role of Pink, but he was turned down because he was a bad actor. They then ended up casting another musician with no acting experience. :v:
