For you floyd fans
Forgettable? It's one of my favorites!
I think that it has Gilmour's best guitar work of all the Floyd albums, plus I love his singing on it.
I love the album and I love Momentary Lapse even more, its just that a lot of the Division Bell songs are too similar.
Ofcourse there are some great stuff like What Do You Want From Me, High Hopes and Great Day For Freedom.
I just got into Pink Floyd about a month and a half ago, I downloaded The Wall and listened to it the entire way through. It was awesome. I was thinking about getting Atom Heart Mother or Wish You Were Here next, which one is better in your opinion?
Animals.
Or The Division Bell!
Such a tragically underrated album...
Lyrically poor apart from High Hopes. Should have been an instrumental album.
I both agree and disagree with the lyrical notion of DB.
I loved some of the lyrics, fx Wearing the Inside Out and Lost for Words, many more, I just can't bother naming them.
Yet then, there is Great Day for Freedom, which is really poor in lyrics imo.
Wearing the Inside Out is a great song.. fair enough the lyrics aren't great, but Rick Wright makes it work perfectly.
How many times have we had this discussion
Depending on conditions, this weekend I may finally host the David Gimour: Live in Gdansk stream.
You guys up for it?

Yeah.. it's really not helping me to avoid brain damage.
But it does waste plenty of time.
It is like a Travel Sequence. [sp]new pun created due to new Floyd material being released[/sp]

But in the end it's only round and round,
Haven't you heard it's a battle of words
...And who'll deny it's what the fighting's all about?

Here's an interview with Nick Mason about the rerelease of WYWH, which has the original violin improvisation by Stephane Grappelli included. There's audio from the interview with Mason and a little preview of the rerelease.

From what I hear so far, I think the violin fits quite nicely with the song. It really does give the song a country feel, much like what Gilmour had originally intended.

Travel Sequence is the original version of On The Run, right?
Ok, it's cool that you guys are rereleasing your entire catalogue, but stop with the youtube ads. They're annoying. :v:
I don't know how or why, but my favourite Pink Floyd album is slowly becoming Ummagumma
I still haven't listened to Ummagumma! I think it's the only one I haven't heard, besides More....

Seriously, it's fucking amazing. People say Nick Mason is good for his soothing drumming style but he's a marvel on Travel Sequence.

I use Livestream. It comes with a program that streams things from your desktop after you sign up for an account, so it's pretty easy to do.
If you did stream Remember That Night, that would be super-awesome.

Also all in favor of doing a group stream of Live in Gdansk on Richard Wright's birthday, annually, chime in.
But pretty please, Oc, you don't suppose you could start an hour later?
Wait are we talking about Conan as in Coco, or Conan the Barbarian?

We're talking Coco Conan.

Oh alright then. But nothing's set in stone yet, I may not even host the stream.
We're talking Coco Conan.
Ah, I should've known, given the Finnish love for Coco.
