Dave Grohlmore [editline]10th October 2011[/editline] Roger looks and probably is the healthiest of any current pf member [editline]10th October 2011[/editline] Really though, when he gets to "cold eyes" i nearly came. It's so young and bold Even better that I'm seeing him next year knowing he's going to still sound good :gizz:
Wow, no lip-sync that's amazing. Bravo Rog.
Yes, I was really impressed by that. I don't understand why he needs tapes, especially on this song.

Although he may look as though he's not old, he is a hag therefore for him to still play at old age, I think it's great.
he is a hag
:v: Apparently it was Pink Floyd week on Jimmy Fallon this past week.
Poor Roger. Oh, well, I'm glad he got out there and did it. What is he, early sixties by now?
Late sixties, 68 to be exact.
And he looks like fucking Richard Gere now.
Happy 41st anniversary, Atom Heart Mother
Happy 41st anniversary, Atom Heart Mother
Holy fuck you're right Think I'll listen to it later as a commemorative thing
Since its Atom Heart Mother's 41st anniversary and I finally got my hands on the Discovery remasters, I'll do another discography marathon.
Holy fuck you're right Think I'll listen to it later as a commemorative thing
Works well if you're drinking milk too.
Just got 4 of the new Discovery album remasters (DSOTM, WYWH, Animals, The Wall), they were cheaper than the original CDs and sound way better, win/win. I also saw the DSOTM Immersion box set but it was too expensive for me atm.
I wanted to buy the Immersion box set for DSOTM because that scarf is the coolest fucking scarf on the planet. Sadly no scarf is worth $108. If I had to get a box set it'd be the Wish You Were Here set. I'm actually picking up the Wish You Were Here immersion set for my dad as a christmas present, and I'm getting the new vinyl remaster of DSOTM for my uncle. His original print vinyl got destroyed back in the 80s. Left it sitting on the dash of his car and it warped in the sun :(
I'm getting the DTSOTM Immersion in about a week and a half. My family went to Florida, I couldn't go because of school (not much of a Florida fan either). My mom took some currency for me, and for that, the Immersion box set will be bought. And I literally can't wait.
Once you do and if you aren't a particular fan of scarves, consider sending that scarf from the immersion set my way :v:
I'll buy it when it's price starts to drop down, but first I must get the rest of these Discovery remasters...
Google's targeted advertising is spot-on. DSOTM: Immersion ads are fucking everywhere! Too bad it's only the second boxed set I'd buy if I had the money. The first being Kraftwerk: Der Katalog.
I listened to the Discovery remaster of DSotM last night. It's probably just me, but the mix sounds really tinny and metallic. I hope the other remasters are better.
So you people are the only ones who look forward to the "unnecessary" remaster and not the new stuff? Shame on you.
Exactly, I'd only bother getting the sets for the new material. You can't perfect perfection, DSOTM had perfect mixing
Well perfect is the wrong word, but the original vinyl lp is the best experience of TDSOTM.
I really love the introduction to Take it Back. That freaking weird guitar sound. I read it was using an ebow and then letting it run trough some effect pedals.
I wish Gilmour used the ebow more often. He's a master with the Digitech Whammy Pedal, though.
Nah, I'm not really looking forward to the remasters, I just had a listen out of curiosity because one of my pals bought the DSotM Discovery version. I'm looking forward to hearing the brand new material much more.
So you people are the only ones who look forward to the "unnecessary" remaster and not the new stuff? Shame on you.
No, I'm finally getting all their CDs I never got, and these are cheaper and better than the old CDs.
So you people are the only ones who look forward to the "unnecessary" remaster and not the new stuff? Shame on you.
Wow, bad post dude, they never said they weren't looking forward to the new stuff, they just weren't talking about it Why should we not look forward to the remasters, as amazing as the original Alan Parsons master is, apparently this James Guthrie one is very much worth listening to Plus the new masters are in gatefoldesque CD things and its awesome
