The noise on the mic is REALLY annoying, but otherwise good job.
Bullshit, it's perfect
Is it the rumbling or the hissing?
Is it the rumbling or the hissing?
Its the high noise. Not sure how to describe it, but it burns my ears.
Its the high noise. Not sure how to describe it, but it burns my ears.
Ah then that's my fault in the mixing, not the mic's. I have shitty headphones so I guess I went too far in eq'ing at 15k.
Yeah, take it down a bit
Wow, bad post dude, they never said they weren't looking forward to the new stuff, they just weren't talking about it
Why should we not look forward to the remasters, as amazing as the original Alan Parsons master is, apparently this James Guthrie one is very much worth listening to
Plus the new masters are in gatefoldesque CD things and its awesome
I personally only want the live shows and new stuff.
I enjoyed the new "first version" of DSOTM.
Hopefully they'll release The Big Spliff.

I'd be so into it, if Cluster One is anything to go by
I remember first listening to The Division Bell when I was on holiday in the Isle of Wight. I'd found it for £2 in a charity shop, and we listened to it in the car on the way back to the cottage we were staying in.
It was such a chilled out car journey, and I still remember that holiday whenever I hear the album.
Holy fuck

Now, I'm Roger.

Aaaaand back to David.

Man, you sound really fucking similar to these guys.
Your Dave is a bit more powerful than Rog.

Yeah, whenever I attempt to imitate Roger's voice I kinda have to constrain my voice.
Okay I've listened to
Meddle (3-4 times)
DSOTM (Must be around 8)
Wish You Were Here (9-12)
Piper (3-4)
Divison Bell (1-2)
Animals (2-3)
What should I listen to next

Everything else.
You get a dumb for not being helpful
what specifically? I know that some of the stuff I haven't heard if bound to be crap.

Ummagumma. You've listened to enough PF to explore their experimental side.

His voice reminds me of mine, it's really universal (but mine sucks at the moment). But I will agree his voice is taylored towards Gilmour more, and mine is more of Roger Water's strange voice on The Wall... you know the one. Ask That_Crazy_GmanV2 - it sounds a lot better in person then recorded through a Guitar Hero Mic

Dude, you don't need tips. Just choose what you want using your own instinct and knowledge.
my knowledge so far tells me that pink floyd albums are either genius or they fucking suck
more of the time it's the former luckily

Not necessarily in the case of Obscured By Clouds, The Division Bell or The Final Cut. They're good but not as genious as DSOTM etc etc

Well since I still have no idea about what you enjoyed the most, I'd say delving more into Prog Rock.
You may end up liking Yes or Genesis more than Pink Floyd.
WYWH and DSOTM were god tier as fuck

I thought obscured was okay

Still disproves your genious/fucking sucks theory.

Try Brian Eno's Another Green World.
It has its psych moments and art rock moments too. Want a youtube link?

also how does everyone feel about the wall
I think it';s great

Pink Floyd to prog is just like Metallica is to Thrash. They basically perfected it but there are many many more bands out there that do the same stuff that you will eventually get in to. I remember Metallica being the first band I got in to and after that I got in to so many other thrash bands. Now with Pink Floyd (Metallica) I'm starting to get in to Emerson Lake and Palmer(Megadeth) and soon to venture in to Genesis and Rush (Slayer and Anthrax, though I still never liked Anthrax lol). Not the best comparison but I hope you guys get what I mean

We all pretty much feel equally about the wall; we know it's not the most Floyd album they've ever done but we know it's a fucking masterpiece

I wouldn't say perfected.
I'd say made it popular.
You could say "Well I haven't found anything as good as Pink Floyd" but you clearly haven't experienced every album.

That's a cool comparison bro
Props.
Relating to the wall, I heard a lot of bad press about it, people saying it wasn't Floyd and it being bad/mainstream and I dug it. I liked the length too. It had some classics but WYWH will always be my favourite, I remember thinking DSOTM was bad until about three weeks ago and I finally got it.
Any colour you like best song erryday
I guess. I'm being pretty vague.
