You must now listen to The Dark Side of the Moon. Do it, do it now!
Putting it on my Ipod as we speak.
Momentary Lapse of Reason is a great album, Learning to Fly, Sorrow and Terminal Frost are great, it was just Floyd having some fun which they seriously needed to do considering how morose their albums more and more each time I appreciated it for what it was, a Momentary Lapse of Reason and you should too

Pink Floyd is a drug on it's own.
What's with the suspenders, Gilmour? :pwn: I wish there were more Roger collabs.
No man's eyebrows move around as much as Dave's while he's singing.
The riff in Waiting For The Worms is amazing.
Favourite Floyd song, that. Aooooo you cannot reach me now~

Great Gig In The Sky just doesn't sound like an orgasm, It's structured as one, It starts of slowly, deliberately, slowly gaining in pace, the vocal pipes in, slowly raising in tone, tempo and pace increasing, massively, SPEEDING, SPEEDING SPEEDIIIIIIINNGGGGG. then it drops, slowly, into a tired whimper. That's incredibly creepy. i know.
What album of Floyds should I listen to first besides Dark Side of The Moon or The Wall?
Animals Meddle Wish You Were Here
Hey AK'z you shouldn't rate him late maybe he was just backing your post up! I hope Animals and Wish You Were Here are accessible. By the looks of it they have very long song lengths in them. But I'll listen to them and Meddle. Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll report back my thoughts
You're all late. :v: Also, Meddle isn't "easily" accessible. If you have the balls, you'll be able to put on the headphones and let the psychedelia come from within you.
Well from what I've heard Pink Floyd went from psychedelic to progressive rock in the 70s. I guess I'll just have to listen to it before judging it. Listening to Animals now
Through the years they became more commercial. But their debut is a stunning example of 60s psych rock.
Ah, well I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Animals is so far great, and I'm only half way into Dogs. What I did like was the build up from acoustic guitars. I started to doubt the actual rock aspect with the first track but I know bands do stuff like that every now and then, which is proven by Dogs which bursts in to a nice sound. The synthesizers sound pretty psychedelic, too.
I think it's the only Pink Floyd album where I've pretty much memorised the entire piece. If I hear it, I know exactly what comes next and which solo will be played and so on.
