Thanks a lot. Now if only I had the inspiration to finish them. :v:
If I had a killer setup like you I wouldn't leave my instrument(s)!
That's unnecessary, What i don't like about Waters tour is that he seems to be using it as a platform for his political ideals.
That's kinda...the whole Wall album. I mean it's all about Rog.
Animals doesn't centre around one character, so it's more a direct commentary. Wall is more about symbolism, but I can't really make out the entire concept of the album. Maybe it's just me who doesn't quite grasp it. If it was much simpler like "The Berlin Wall" then fair enough, but it's more about the walls between societies and classes. Just confusing to me.
IMO The Wall is mainly about our little walls we put up in our minds to shelter us from painful memories and moments in our lives and what can happen to us when they get "built alittle too high".
Also, went to the music store today and I played with the Digitech Whammy pedal. So fun to play Marooned. :D
Ah Marooned . . . aaahh
I still want to know the back story behind this [editline]28th October 2011[/editline] Oh nevermind, It nicks the chorus from "Another Brick in the Wall Pt#"

It's an internal struggle within ourselves as we try to constantly block out things around us from happening because we don't want to face them ourselves. Unfortunately, this all ends up becoming too much and we're forced to have our "Walls" brought down around us, exposing our true, broken, selves. (I SENTENCE YOU TO BE EXPOSED BEFORE YOUR PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERS. TEAR DOWN THE FUCKING WALL!)
Ah Marooned . . . aaahh
Listening to Marooned or The Blue at the beach on a summer's day is just...damn.

You guys are making me want to listen to The Wall. So I am going to. It's already very unlike what I've listened to, Animals and Wish You Were here had like 10-17 minute songs, The Wall has like 26 songs that are around 1-4 minutes. Here goes nothing!

Someone was nice enough to upload the complete movie in HD. The Wall was awesome. I'm going to listen to Dark Side of the Moon on the way to the shops, get me some food to eat to The Wall movie.
The Wall was awesome. I'm going to listen to Dark Side of the Moon on the way to the shops, get me some food to eat to The Wall movie.
Get some gummy worms  Also what the hell is open at 2:00+ in the morning?
Some Asian Deli :v: I will get gummy worms :P
This DSOTM scarf is friggin' awesome. A bit thin and short for my taste, but still works.
As much as I hate scarves, the DSOTM one looks awesome. Oh yes, and I got 1/4 pound of gummi worms :D
It's multiple concepts in one album based around the symbolism of a "Wall" really. Not just one concept
Yeah, that's confusing. If I try to hear it like I do with Animals, I just get confused so I go back to enjoying the music itself.
That's how I see it. The music and the themes behind it are two different things
Yeah, that's confusing. If I try to hear it like I do with Animals, I just get confused so I go back to enjoying the music itself.
Its a "narrative album" more so than a concept album I would class Animals and Dark Side of the Moon as concept albums, The Wall as a narrative album and maybe WYTH as a blend, idk In a sense its meant to be read like a book even
Watching the movie, makes even less sense. But it's still greatness though. :>
Makes you wonder what other Floyd albums would look like as films.

Bought three more remasters today (Atom Heart Mother, Meddle, The Final Cut), that's 7 total now, I'm halfway there.
Wikipedia is too vague on concept albums.
Wikipedia is too vague on concept albums.
Pretty clear definition to me.
