Yes it is
Have any of you guys listened to The Wall in one sitting?
Daily. Sometimes three-four times in a row. I just have it on all the time, man. I have no better music.
3 times on Journeys, twice on vinyl, and two or three times when on my PC. Otherwise I'd only play the first 6 or so tracks when a quick listen.
I don't even like it as much as Moon or Animals or WYWH, but I've listened to it a LOT.
My quick listen is either Comfortably Numb onwards or the first CD, then nobody home.
[editline]19th November 2011[/editline]
I listened to the whole thing 20 times in a row once, no Idea why.
I usually go from Nobody Home to Vera and then skip to Comfortably Numb
or I listen to One of My Turns to Don't Leave Me Now. Apart from that, not much.
I have no better music.
You can fix this by not listening to The Wall like an autistic 10 year old, and get the other 13 albums Pink Floyd made.

You can't have just sat there doing nothing. Gaming I guess?

You have no better music because you don't bother to get any other music.

the most I did was eat some biscuits and drink some tea

Usually I do In The Flesh, then either turn it off or jump around if I want to.
I can't help it, it's just such a great song.
Anyone listen to Meddle in one sitting?
You know what's really special about The Final Cut? It actually has it's own motif. Y'know, just like The Wall. Never noticed until now.
Most Floyd albums do.
Does Animals?
Anyone listen to Meddle in one sitting?
Dude, when people listen to albums properly it usually consists of listening to the whole thing.
The way Floyd tracks flow it's kinda hard to just stop after one track. What's even worse is putting a Pink Floyd album on shuffle.

Unless it's Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd.

Give example, I'd like to know

Yeah, I really like motifs. On an album or symphony or whatever, they just keep coming back.
Animals motifs were best, but that's just me. :>
Another thing I like about motifs is that sometimes they're really really obvious and sometimes they're very subtle, but you can still recognize them

I'm not aware of any musical motifs in Animals, but I do know that it has a lyrical/thematic one: the stone.

Yeah I didn't really mean it in terms of the whole album. Maybe Dogs has gone straight to my head.

Surprised that hasn't been made before. It's awesome.
I had a dream last night where I was in music class and somebody started to play the four note Syd Barrett motif on the piano. Then, suddenly the whole class started singing Shine On together. Was beautiful.
Surprised that hasn't been made before. It's awesome.
thank'ee. it took way too much time, 27 frames for about two and a half seconds of animation.
