David did use a drum machine for AMLOR
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Momentary_Lapse_of_Reason
yeah its wikipedia, but it's got a source there.
It's so blatantly drum machine too. Also the remake of Money did, but that's probably the only genuinely good thing he did with them.
No, Gilmour played real drums himself for the money remake.
You're missing piano on Gilmour and Waters. Also, would've been nice to have heard more of Rick's instrumentalism on their music.
You also forgot Roger for tape loops and screaming like a fucking eagle that is having its testicles removed on PCP and Speed
That's strange. I only doubted it because the drums sound the same on all tracks. Maybe he programmed a human to play on the kit.

So my friends and I (the ones that could be fucked) changed our names and display pictures on facebook to pink floyd members.

Wait a second...
Richard Wright is dead! But who was Facebook?
I was listening to the Immersion edition of the Dark Side and I still can't get over how cool The Travel Sequence sounded.

I mean it doesn't have the same atmosphere and it's good that they left it out but it's so cool on its own.

Who gets to keep Syd?

I have a love hate relationship with this song. That intro string patch is amazing, that intro solo is fucking incredible, and the next fiew bars fof Gilmour's voice is fucking incredible. Then it's pretty much down hill from there. Actually, more like jumping off a cliff. The rest of the song is one of the reasons why this album isn't one of Floyd's tops.
There just wasn't enough cowbell...
I skip coming back to life after the first bit

This track is so supreme, love the bass.

I think it's a damned shame Roger doesn't play bass on most of the parts of his current tours. 'Cus he's a bloody good bass player when it comes to it.
He calls himself "more musical" than Gilmour, but I don't recall any actual playing of his to be memorable. Of course, Money is great. The remake is better and more hard hitting to me.
Anyone care to enlighten me?
He is certainly the better songwriter, but I never think of Roger as the bassist of Pink floyd, more the singer/songwriter.

His bass playing on the live8 Comfortably Numb performance during the solo really complimented Gilmour's guitar playing very well.

Waiting For The Worms
End Riff.
That is all.
(it's significantly less awesome in the current live show because Roger doesn't play bass)

Do you have any bass players in mind that you'd compare that to?

Can never be too sure on the records since David plays bass on some.

Gilmour actually wrote the bass line for money in the first place afaik
Roger is not as musical as gilmour at all, but he's more relatable and the stuff he writes about is easy to understand
fucks sake why am I always wrong.
From a Rolling Stone interview: "That's crap. There's no question that Dave needs a vehicle to bring out the best of his guitar playing. And he is a great guitar player. But the idea, which he's tried to propagate over the years, that he's somehow more musical than I am, is absolute fucking nonsense. It's an absurd notion, but people seem quite happy to believe it."
Oh Roger,
Apparently Rick and Gilmour used to rip into Roger's singing voice a lot back in the day, told him he can't sing for shit and stuff
Roger is perfectly capable, he's not terrible at all, he's just not as good - If you look at their solo effort I'd say the best musician would have been Rick Wright without a doubt
then you get two together and magic happens
Roger's voice is good, but he's not a good singer. Hope that makes sense.
