I want to say I'm sure some of you guys have heard of this, but then again I have doubts. There's a bluesy-jam tribute band that's toured on and off for roughly ten years called Blue Floyd. While I don't know who's in Blue Floyd now, I listened to their most recent album, Begins, last night. It was pretty cool, but if you're ever going to listen to Blue Floyd, do it live.

That has their newest album on there if you want to give a listen, but look them up live on Youtube if you want a real experience.
"Obscured by Clouds" is another solid Pink Floyd album that quite often gets overlooked. The album got sandwiched between two other monoliths of Floyd history: "Meddle" and "Darkside of the Moon". Criticize if you wish, but "Obscured by Clouds" is easily my third favorite album from the band.

In this day and age of Pink Floyd's popularity, it's fair to say nothing they do gets overlooked.
I'm planning on getting the Wish You Were Here Immersion box set some time soon. Shit'll be so cash.

Surely the company gave you a finished copy for free

But the thought of sacrificing $120 is blasphemous!

I had a glorious idea while listening to Another Brick 3's live versions,
Imagine ABITW 3,
Sung by an entire 40-person choir.
My balls would explode.

I hope who it is, is obvious enough.

There's no reason to disagree. Pink Floyd, without a doubt are one of the most popular bands.

never commercially released.
The Final Cut would be FAR better if Roger wrote entirely new material for it instead of reusing and repurposing unused Wall songs.
It's like using the bricks left over from building a wall to build a chimney.
It won't change the fact it's still got wallpaper on it.
Final Cut would be far better if it was a Pink Floyd album.

i.e. David Gilmour, sometimes Nick Mason.
And no, not Rick Wright.
i'm astounded Roger let Dave do the vocals on Not Now John. although i think the song is better for it. Because Dave does two kinds of vocals, Smooth and soothing, and blaring and brutal.
Roger does two
Nasally and aggressive
Nasally and quietly aggressive.
true pink floyd is on Saucerful of Secrets. Everyone we know and love is there :-)
Just go into King crimson and I have to say, in some aspects I like Them more than Pink Floyd, but in so many more ways I like Floyd better.

Floyd don't have a "Larks' Tongues in Aspic" album.
Actually scratch that, it's Meddle.
Floyd and Crimson are the same in terms of quality, just v different
Crimson are groundbreaking and their new wave stuff is some of the best music I've ever heard. Right up there with Wish You Were Here.

Red is probably their equivalent of Wish You Were Here. After that album you can clearly see why they deserved a hiatus.

or essentially they broke up
Though that was mostly because Robert Fripp because pretty disgusted with the prog scene in general for being too pretentious
this coming from one of the most pretentious musicians in the business
Listening to the wall for the first time, LOVED wish you were here and dark side of the moon, but this album is like perfection. Pink floyd is probably one of my top 3 favorite bands, next to arcade fire an radiohead.
jesus chRIST the demos of The Wall are fucking nightmarish, i finally listened to all of it in a single sitting and now i want to leap out a window

Well my friend found this:

* In The Flesh?
* The Thin Ice
* Another Brick In The Wall Part 1
* The Happiest Days Of Our Lives(Film Version)
* Another Brick In The Wall Part 2(Film version)
* Mother(Film)
* Goodbye Blue Sky
* Empty Spaces

* Don't Leave Me Now(Film)
* What Shall We Do Now(Either berlin or demo version, i can't decide.)
* Another Brick Part 3 (Film version)

* Hey You(1980 Live version)
* Is There Anybody Out There Part 1(demo)
* Nobody Home
* Is There Anybody Out There Part 2 (Demo)
* Vera
* Bring The Boys Back Home(Film/special release LP version, modified to have the Eisenhower quote in it)
* Is There Anybody Out There Part 3 (Demo)

* The Show Must Go On(1980 live)
* Master Of Ceremonies Part 2
* In The Flesh
* Run Like Hell (1980 Live)
* Waiting For The Worms(i can't decide either demo, original, live, berlin version etc)

* Stop
* The Trial
* Outside The Wall
I will pay you 1.5 ugandan dollars to listen to other bands.
