Listened to "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" on the way home today......the more I listen to it, the more I dig that 80's synth and roaring guitar(especially Sorrow and Yet Another Movie). It reminds me of "The Lost Boys" soundtrack in some ways lol.
I'm going to round out my collection by delving into live album territory; thinking about starting with "Is There Anybody Out There: The Wall Live '80-'81".
What did i miss?
OMG I'M SEEING ROGER WATERS IN LESS THAN TWO HOURS NEVER BEEN TO A CONCERT BEFORE AND I GET TO SEE ONE OF THE MOST LEGENDARY MUSICIANS EVER I AM SO EXITED OMG OMG OMG
Fuck yes. My collection is (almost) Complete!
Very nice collection. I just need More, Ummagumma, Saucerful, and TDB. Then I'll have all of them. They aren't Discovery editions though. But I think I'm going to have trouble finding Saucerful and TDB original pressings. Well not original, but not repressings.
Happy birthday Nick Mason!
I was literally the only person I knew to go today, everyone is going tomorrow. Oh well, doesn't bother me.
It was fucking awesome, by the way. Even just basking in the presence of Roger Waters was overwhelming.
Pics.

I was too busy watching the show. Basking in the presence of Roger Waters was phenomenal.
Plus there's a friend of mine in this thread who is going to see it tomorrow and I don't want to spoil it for him.

Pretty interesting interview of Roger Waters with Howard Stern.

It's long and I haven't listened to all of it, but apparently Roger actually admits he was wrong in being angry about Gilmour, Mason, and Wright continuing on with Floyd without him.
inb4 killerteacup bashes Roger again.
roger waffles should be his name.

He does. Great interview, Pity Howard and that woman are such dicks to Roger.
Just saw rogey waters last night, pretty amazing concert though a number of things brought the concert down.
1. Burswood Dome and the terrible set up. If you sat in the wrong place (like I did then the giant scaffolding will block your view)
2. Burswood Dome and it's GOD FUCKING AWFUL ACOUSTICS.
3. the audience...
4. just Burswood dome in general because it's soooo bad. why couldn't he have had the concert at subiaco like U2?
other than that it was amazing. the thin ice was probably my fav part.
fuck, nearest showing to where i live isn't until july
i'm still going
Roger's a hypocrite. Getting mad at David and co. for playing their songs in sold out stadiums, when he's about to do the same thing on the leg of his current tour.

Was a hypocrite, I should say.

To be honest i think he's doing it
A: for money
B: for the fans as he's very old now and isn't likely to make it to have another world tour.

The scaffolding blocking your only view was the only problem for me, but I just moved seats. After the intermission, I don't think anybody sat in their original seats anyways. The acoustics are fine for a giant concert, I could hear everything clearly as fuck. If there's anything to legitimately complain about is that everything there was 3x the price of what it should be.
But wow, for what a performance that was, I ain't complaining. Yeah, the audience wasn't that great but it was a seated venue, it's kinda like we all came to watch a musical movie just about. Plus Another Brick 2 was so early in the set, shit barely happened, but the crowd went fucking OFF at Comfortably numb. Oh and that moment on mother, fuck that was awesome.

that moment in mother go the biggest cheer of the night :D
I woulda loved more anecdotes of Roger like on Mother. Still great though.
I started listening to the When The Wind Blows soundtrack, which Roger and his solo band did all but one of the songs for.
JESUS
CHRIST
I WILL NEVER FUCKING SLEEP AGAIN EVER.
.
IF YOU CAN FIND A COPY. LISTEN TO THE SONG "THE FALLOUT"
That was a disturbing movie.
The Graphic Novel is even more disturbing.
