I don't think they're reusable.
oh god are they at least like, bio-degradable or something?
I don't think they're reusable.
Could be both good and bad. On one side at least you have reliable shots every time. After firing my nerf darts 100 times, they don't work as well as new ones. but on the bad side, you'll have limited ammo. Ammo will need to be cheap if they are disposable.
oh god are they at least like, bio-degradable or something?
I dunno, they're "synthetic spitballs," so I assume them being wet will make them hard to reuse. Probably just some kind of wet tissue material or something, which would be easy to clean up inside but would probably be a mess outside.
I love how they still mistake magazines for clips.
look at this video of the vulcan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dokbdPPqkFU
way late
The synthetic spitwads are just moist paper pellets designed to stick to whatever they hit. Since it's wet paper they mush and deform on impact
Is the Vulcan worth getting I mean whats the failure rate on those bastards?

[content snip]
Some cool designs, though I don't care much for blowguns. Or spitballs, for that matter. On the other hand, that sniper may have modding potential.
It's not as good as nerf guns. You MUST buy ammo since every shot cannot be reused. Also, that's not very sanitary. If that's the case, then buying ammo would be as simple as buying a pack of paper and making a fuckton of spitballs.

<-- Spitball king [editline]31st March 2011[/editline]
doughboy;28904526']look at this video of the vulcan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dokbdPPqkFU
who gives a fuck if it's late, I've never seen it and its bloody amazing :3:
Spitballs can be pretty solid so I think those guns will actually be a lot of fun. I mean, I knew guys that could shoot spitballs so hard they stung a little bit, and those only went across a classroom. Something that can put a spitball 30 yards must have a lot of power behind it. Since they're wet, they tend to weigh more than hollow BB's and whatnot. Really depends on what they really mean by synthetic spitwads. [editline]31st March 2011[/editline]
[img_thumb]http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zTy2yhvULyw/TWiCk0tzAUI/AAAAAAAAGsU/nxar1xKkWvk/s1600/MaxForce_Shadow%2BHawk%2B100%2Bsml.jpg[/img_thumb] Please tell me that fucker is bolt-action
Well, the first gun is a blowgun, but the pistol one looks like it has a plunger system where you pull back on it and release, compressing air in the cylinder and shooting the pellet out. I don't see any kind of trigger on the model they're showing there, so maybe the rifle works the same way with the bolt. Who knows.
Isn't this supposed to be about Nerf guns, and the knock off brand foam guns? [editline]31st March 2011[/editline]
Is the Vulcan worth getting I mean whats the failure rate on those bastards?
Not really. The gun misfires, bad range, and eats batteries like a fat-ass at a buffet. Your money is better spent on one of the new dart tag guns, or a raider.
[img_thumb]http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zTy2yhvULyw/TWiCk0tzAUI/AAAAAAAAGsU/nxar1xKkWvk/s1600/MaxForce_Shadow%2BHawk%2B100%2Bsml.jpg[/img_thumb] Please tell me that fucker is bolt-action
It seems like it's a mixture, sadly. Seems like you work the bolt then pump it to shoot. Of course, that is in no way conclusive. Perhaps you could do either. Perhaps those were prototypes and they're adding a trigger. No way to know.
Maybe the bolt is for loading/fixing jams whereas the pump fires/cycles.

The Speedload 6 is a bulky beast of a gun, but I love the thing in its own right. What really makes it nice is that you can load the rounds whenever you want without having to cock it. I wouldn't recommend it as a sidearm for your standard fighters, but if you want good power but don't need mobility, I'd say it is perfect. It'd be good for heavy classes and good for snipers, but its just too bulky to be practical for anyone else. Something interesting about it is that, if you hold it in your right hand and grab the clip with your left, there is actually a slot that seems like it was designed for a hand to fit in. The main problem is that it is angled weird, so trying to use it hurts your hands quickly and aiming becomes difficult. I'm gonna pick up the Quick 16 next though. It looks like a decent gun, if a little on the wonky side.
Snipers in Nerf? You must be new to this thread
I assume he means sharpshooters, which Nerf does have; guys who hang back and move forward to fire well thought-out shots. Pretty good strategy in HvZ, and regular Nerf games for that matter. Low rate of fire and mobility big issues for that role, I think that's what he's referring to.
Snipers in Nerf? You must be new to this thread
Not at all. Look back through, there are plenty of posts from me in here. I simply don't care about the technicalities of some words and the stupid nature of terminology some people insist on with this and similar fields.
I never really got into nerf, only because to me, THOSE DARTS ARE TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE.
I never really got into nerf, only because to me, THOSE DARTS ARE TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE.
It's like any other hobby, or sport. You gotta pay to play.
It's good for us jobless scrubs who can't afford hundreds of airsoft/paintball equipment
The ammo is reusable, which makes up for the price. Airsoft can do that, but who wants to look around for all of those bb's.
I never really got into nerf, only because to me, THOSE DARTS ARE TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE.
It's like $5 for a pack of 20 darts what
Real guns are really expensive. Ever how much 20 rounds of .223 Remingtons cost? $25 if it's on sale. Nerf is cheap by far. You don't even need Nerf brand to use the guns.
