NERF Thread; AKA "Back in 'nam... Darts everywhere"
The same can't be said of the Buzzbee guns. The Nerf darts are too long.
SOME Buzzbee guns work with Nerf darts though, and almost all Nerf guns work with Buzzbee darts, so there is some interchangeability there.
I used to own a Tommy 20, you just have to cut the darts a little shorter.
One thing to do if you have some spare time is to buy the materials to make stefans and make them yourself, much cheaper than buying Nerf darts if you're a cheapass.
Airsoft can do that, but who wants to look around for all of those bb's.
Actually you can't even do that. The higher-end guns are built with such strict tolerances that a small chip in a used bb could cause a misfire.
I play both Nerf and airsoft, just because I can't really airsoft indoors, and also because airsoft is expensive and not many of my friends play it here.
Me and my roomate and a few freinds have started playing our own version of HvZ, you just need a house, people and a few nerf guns. Zombies start out on the road and attack the house where the survivors are holed up. A nerf dart to the chest or head kills zombies and then they go back to the road to respawn, if a zombie touches a survivor he turns into a zombie, zombies are only allowed to walk until they see a person, then they can move as fast as they want.
It's a helluva lot of fun, last time we played I ended up climbing up onto my roof and holding out till I ran out of darts.
The max force thing uses spitwads? Eww.
I guess ill buy it to play with it, and fake gunshots with my friends
I just played a round of HvZ at my high school and even though we had a small group it was still intense.
Just played 100 man CTF. Crazy. This one guy brought a homemade gun he dubbed "Bad Horse." Used a bicycle pump to charge it, and he mounted the whole system on a wooden body and stock of a pellet gun. You did not want to be hit by that.
My birthday's coming up soon, and I'm interested in getting a new NERF gun. I've got:
House 1:
Stampede
Maverick x2
House 2:
Raider
Recon
(Yes, I have two houses, my parents are divorced.)
What should I get? Birthday is early May, if that helps at all.

You don't need any more. demand a sibling with which to have shoot outs.

Buy some PVC, a sprinkler valve, a bicycle pump, air hose nozzle, and some piping. Build an overpowered single shot rifle.
Just went to Walmart and picked up that obnoxious looking Vulcan.

I just wanted it for its bulky shell. I'm gutting it, spraying it matte black, and using it as a body for a portable 1.5kJ coil gun.
My brother asked me to post these:

It's meant to be a Bolt Pistol:
He made it for Dragon*Con, he made an entire costume for an Imperial Inquisitor.
Still a few rough edges from time constraints.. he is going to fix those and touch up the paint.
I don't know off the top of my head what NERF gun he made it from.. I'll ask him. Though I imagine a lot of you know what gun it is.
[editline]4th April 2011[/editline]
He also started a Melta Gun but it's in pretty WiP condition and looks too much like the base NERF gun to really be worth posting.
I like the G36 mag.
Yeah, he bought an old Airsoft G36 from a store here for like $10 and just used the magazine.. it is fairly accurate for the part though. I suggested he paint the magazine but he keeps saying he doesn't want to. I think it looks silly personally.. bolt rounds are MUCH bigger than that.
Yeah, was just going to say, the 5.56 looks tiny as hell.
Force him to paint it, the translucent mag looks kinda dumb anyway.

I'll try my best :v:

???
Also in a couple days I'm going to hook this gun up to a 120V AC outlet and pop the motor.

Wow I thought you were Hezzy when I posted that reply.
Tie your friend down and force him to paint that mag.
So I may have mentioned that I have a Raider CS-35, which I thought was an alright gun...until a friend of mine bought a Maverick, which beat my Raider on pretty much every single quality.
Are there any rifle-size guns that are as reliable or at least as accurate and as ranged as the Maverick?

Dude, that's just sad. The Raider is better than the Maverick in all areas: Ammo capacity, reload speed, range, and RoF. You have remove the AR to get some good ranges with that gun. Same can be said for any of the N-strike line of guns.

The Raider is a better blaster. Just mod it and if you angle your shots a little you will out preform the Maverick every time
To answer your question, get either a Recon(remove the front piece), a Longstrike(remove the front piece), or a Longshot but good luck finding one of those

could you please post the tutorial you're going off, or make a thread and detail one,
because i'm dying to make one myself but i can't for my life find a tutorial, or do all the physics myself.

Please update this whenever possible, would love to see how it turns out.
Also put some hornet yellow on details and such to go with the matte black

I'm really tempted to put barricade internals into a raider...
need to buy the barricade first :/

that would ruin the gun's performance

That looks really awesome, but the amount he fired is probably about as much as you should at one time. The motors would probably die after a minute of firing at that speed. :ohdear:

That's why you mod it some more. replace the motor and get an extended belt.
He refuses to paint the magazine.
