Thread on?
Why not use glue?
Wonder what a airsoft sniper spring would be like In a nerf
Wonder what a airsoft sniper spring would be like In a nerf
I'd expect the spring to fire the gun rather than the other way round.

Smaller gun = Smaller air compression tank
Smaller air compression tank = less air to dart
Less air to dart = shorter range.
Once modded it can be an adequate Side-Side-Arm.

When I read that I imagined it.
Wonder what a airsoft sniper spring would be like In a nerf
First of all the spring would be hella' hard to pull back, and once you got it back, it would shoot the compression chamber so hard forward it would break the part where the dart sits

Okay, forget what I said about NERF guns not being able to explode in your hands.

Hmm would reqire extream moding then, like replacing internals with higher strength plastics (like the ones found in some airsoft ) or metal parts which you would have to make prob

Agree if you think this should be a real nerf gun
No.
No.
wat?
Why would you need that many barrels? Looks like a bitch to reload. And with that many barrels, why would you need a scope unless you're playing borderlands?
When do you guys actually USE these things!?
Looks like something out of unreal tournament imo.
When do you guys actually USE these things!?
I agree. I never use them... just mod them and stuff
When do you guys actually USE these things!?
When i feel like guns but its raining outside.
Answer: Nerf.
And sometimes on a daily basis, when i stay up late at night and get that urge to create something awesome
Also on another note, my other friend is trying to sell his nerf guns INCLUDING a Longshot and Recon, so i might buy some off him, also, because it has a minor jamming problem he's GIVING me his VULCAN!!!
[editline]10:31PM[/editline]
he said he'll give me the whole set of like 15 guns for 30$
WOOT!
Gonna eventually be modding my longstrike, recon, raider, and maybe my longshot if I can find one at Zellers. Gonna replace their springs with this: http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/Carbine-Action-Spring-p/spring%20carbine%20action.htm remove their air-restrictors, and spraypaint them in flat/matte black with some satin grey/silver parts.

I go to friend-circle tournaments. We have separate color-coded teams for the tournaments, I lead the Orange Team which happens to be the leading team.
Our arsenal is:
Modified Longshot CS-6 (Mine was fucked up so I turned it into a shotgun. I can also fire it like a mortar.)
Recon CS6 (No barrel extension, laser sight. Pre-recall so it has the orange back.)
Modified Deploy CS6 (Bipod from the Longshot, extra spring. Also added Barrel Extension from the Recon CS6. This is the one I use.)
Orange dart tag gun, with black sharpie on the gray areas.
Maverick REV-6.
Firefly REV-8 spray painted black.
Things we actually use in our team of 5:
Longshot
Deploy
Recon
Maverick
Orange Dart Tag gun
Firefly REV-8
My personal ones form the arsenal:
My modified Deploy CS6
Orange Dart Tag gun
We also have most of the guns with orange duct tape where ever it doesn't stop the guns from functioning, wit the word "SCORPION SYNDICATE" written on the strips with sharpie. We're going to get a Vulcan, a longstrike (To use to modify the recon.), and possibly that one that fires green balls.
I think the other teams are this, in order of skill(Orange not listed because I listed it already, but eveyrone agrees we're the best within the tournaments.) :
Blue, 3 people this arsenal:
Vulcan
Deploy (Non-modified)
2 Mavericks (One Rev. 6 one Rev. 5)
Green, 2 people on this team. They both use Recon CS6 and act as "Mercenaries" for people who will supply the most clip darts (We standardized this ammo because it works with all guns. Except for the green ball one.),
Red, 6 people one this team. They have this:
A fuckload of dart tag guns, no specific colors.
A vulcan that is horribly duct taped (Not even team-specific, sometimes it jams the gun. Sometimes I hate when we ally with each other because that vulcan they use jams more than my longshot before I modded it.)
A Maverick Rev. 5
And then Gray. Anyone left over gets any leftover guns. If someone ants details about how the tournament itself works go ahead.
I want to buy a buzzbee double shot because I love double barrel shotguns, but I'm concerned about it's reliability. I don't want something that'll break after two uses. Can anybody recommend?

A. Fuck yeah orange, best color ever.
B. post pics of your Deploy. From the sounds of it, it looks pretty badass.

Paint it silver and then paint everything black.
Sand the gun and it will have a scratched metal look

Hmm, I was gonna paint it so the color scheme resembles an M4 Carbine/M16, but that sounds cool too.
Btw would those little round adhesive pad things you put on the bottom of chair legs to protect hardwood floors be good for padding the cylinders once I remove the air restrictors?
yes

I can recommend it. It's pretty fucking awesome, although the action isn't as smooth as you'd imagine it to be. It feels really solid, and it's actually pretty powerful.
I sawed mine off as well, tripled the range.
Oh my, I told my friend about modding NERF guns and now he wants me to mod his longshot and vulcan. :byodood:
Get 'im to pay you to do it.

I had one but my faggot cousins broke it by bending it too much. When you use it carefully it's good.
Another question, how many cans of that paint would I need to spray the Recon from top to bottom?
