I was thinking about modding my Longshot for a longer range, then making a custom scope using only plastic wrap, marker, and some paper. I am also going to create a way to hit long-range targets, such as using Kentucky Windage with a formula to compensate for wind and gravity.
Uh huh.
speaking of nerf darts in 'nam
Fucking indestructible.
Wait it seems like the longshot's bolt should like be pretty secure when you put it in but how do you get it in like that? do you have to like bang it in real hard or something? mine doesn't want to go in very securely. [editline]01:34PM[/editline] Mine kind of snaps in a little then pops back out with just a tiny bit of force.
My friend's giving me a Hyperfire for free, is that any good?
1. It is free! 2. It is ok. I mean it is the gun that Nerf used for all their tournaments.
I think those kind of nerf guns are ugly.
I think those kind of nerf guns are ugly.
what kind?
The kind that looks like this
I second you, pal!
I sawed the barrel off my double shot, and added a pull string on the back. Without the tension from the spring the barrel drops under its own weight much faster, the shells don't shoot out at lightning speed anymore. I really really wanna play HvZ with this. It's not the most efficient NERF weapon, but it would be perfect against zombies. All it needs is one of those things that holds shells on the outside. Maybe a bandoleer so you wouldn't need to pick up shells. I would keep a nerf grenade (rolled up socks) in the stock compartment.
Why does this thread have 300k views, more then any other thread in general discussion?

It depends where you live when you want to play alot.
Happy summer! I hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend. I have official information on one more Nerf exclusive blaster to share – the N-Strike Spectre REV-5. · Available in October · Exclusively at WalMart · Combines features of the N-Strike Maverick REV-6 and N-Strike Recon CS-6 blasters · 5-dart rotating barrel blaster · Adjustable stock I’ve attached an image of the N-Strike Spectre REV-5 blaster in package. As usual, we won’t be announcing this info until tomorrow but we're sharing it with you and a few others today. Unfortunately the news on exclusives will start to slow down a bit now, but keep an eye out for a few other fun things we’re sending your way. Thanks again!
So what should I do with my recon? I don't feel like taking out the air restrictor, a bit too hard than it needs to be. I also have the red dot sight for the gun. That one that comes with the shitty darts you can't even use :v:
Yea, a 'stealth' blaster with whistling darts.
Ehh fuck it I just drilled out that AR and now I'm putting this back together :V
What is the purpose of an air restrictor? Do they put those in there just make the gun shittier?
Pretty much. They put them in to 'nerf' them, so kids don't hurt themselves with the guns.
I see. brb, putting needles in darts.
In the process of getting that longshot! [editline]12:14AM[/editline] Whoops i mean, "Those" longshots! [editline]12:14AM[/editline] I am getting two longshots.
In the process of getting that longshot! [editline]12:14AM[/editline] Whoops i mean, "Those" longshots! [editline]12:14AM[/editline] I am getting two longshots.
Compensation is a wonderful thing. [sp]In all seriousness though, cool.[/sp]
Actually apparently the air restrictors serve 2 purposes. First and most importantly they make guns shitty. and second they create a cushion of air for the plunger so it doesnt smash into the plastic. Hence the loud crack or louder noises heard after removing the restrictors. You gotta pad the shit. I removed the AR from my longshot but couldn't find anything good to use for padding. any suggestions? Also i'm in the process of doing an integration mod for the detachable front gun. It's a really neat mod but tricky at times. ALSO ALSO seriously is my bolt handle like made wrong?
if that rod is going into the handle with 2 screws in it then yes
Hey gang, just bought a maverick, nice gun, only problem is that the trigger on mine needs to be pulled right back as far as it goes before it fires, I know this is just a problem with mine, any fix?
Fuck, making this nerf gun is fucking hard (Considering all I'm doing is buying another longshot and changing the casing into a casing for my modified recon along with minor improvements.), and it took me a while to find a good way to find a functioning combo of a recon/longshot mod, and constant interruptions are not helping (Dog running away, chores, budget, etc.). All I have done so far is schematics which I'll post here when I have the time. [editline]07:12PM[/editline] I don't even have an extra longshot yet.

Pretty much impossible, unless you have a 3d printer (and how many of us have one of those?), you could print an entire new trigger with an extended bit indicated in that picture. Or epoxy on another bit of plastic.
