I'm thinking of making a homemade Nerf gun but I don't know where to start.
Spring or pump?
Has anyone ever thought of doing a TF2 themed match in real life with these nerf guns?
Find me a kid who can double-jump.
Cant find you a kid who can do that but I can find you one that can run like hell.
Okay then there's mr. invisible here.
Has anyone ever thought of doing a TF2 themed match in real life with these nerf guns?
Scout- Foam bat, Nightfire, and a sawn off buzz-bee shotgun Soldier- that rocket launcher nerf thing, a nerf axe made to look like a shovel, and a buzz-bee shotgun Pyro- a bag of darts to throw at people in handfulls (this would simulate flamethrower very well), nerf axe with one side cut off, and the Buzz-Bee shotgun demoman- bag of big foam missiles, an empty plastic waterbottle filled with foam or something soff, and an airsoft claymore. Heavy- Vulcan, Buzz-Bee shotgun, and Sockem boppers. Engie- Stationary mounted vulcan controlled by engie (the engie has to wear the temporary invincibility rag while he goes and gets the minigun from the safe house), shotgun, and nightfire. Medic- A flashlight (simulates healing, and birngs back the dead only if you are playing one hit kill), buzz-Bee tommy twenty, and a toy saw (you know the ones, that are meant for babies) with foam around the edges. Sniper- Longshot, Buzz-Bee tommy twenty, and a foam Kukuri (with thick foam, its possible) Spy- Meverick, the tip of a nerf sword, and is allowed to go outside tha "map" (going inside buildings if an outdoor map, going outside building if an indoor map) to emulate cloaked, but if they are going to be a spy, they have to be stealthy. There you go, how nerf tf2 could be made, with a, little time and enthusiasm.
^ Win just...win.

It would recognize the colour of its team as the ID card.

But maybe for the Pyro, he could use some kind of overcharged water-rifle? The opposite of fire, but the dynamics are fairly similar with the falldown and all that. [editline]08:10PM[/editline] Also, give Demo one of those NERF grenades tied to a piece of string, YAY BETA STUFF!

[editline]03:20PM[/editline] Also, care to show me a pic of the beta item?
Once I get money I'm going to mod a NERF longstrike into an AT rifle. Maybe even make a matching costume. That would be a fun little project.
airsoft grenade launcher + nerf rocket = :flashfap:
airsoft grenade launcher + nerf rocket = :flashfap:
Don't forget that packing a pair of socks in the tube can do the same thing.
Which one was the good one again? The longshot or the longstrike?
Longstrike I guess.
The Longshot's fine, haven't tried the Longstrike. I just use it without the detachable front.
Which one was the good one again? The longshot or the longstrike?
The Longshot is better, they recalled it becuase when you modded it it would leave a welt, so they replaced it with the longstrike, which is about the same power as an unmodded longshot, but hella hard to mod with that "reverse pump" system.
Cannot wait to get my hands on a Barrel Break Ix-2
Don't forget that packing a pair of socks in the tube can do the same thing.
yeah, but nerf rockets are more fun

Just got my Nerf Deploy here in the UK. I got it through Amazon.co.uk. It works good, sometimes the pump handle jams a few times.

I got a Recon last weekend, lived up to everything. I now have 4 NERF guns, I wish the Longshot and Longstrike were easier to get (I don't think the Longshot's been taken out of production in the UK).

There's a few in Toys R Us, I got the Longshot from there.

Has anyone had any luck getting a Barrel Break IX-2 from TRU? I heard it was being released on august 1st.

Unless you just dig variety and/or have extra cash :P

Compare the Longstrike to the Hunting Rifle from FO3, for example.
