I saw a modded version of the first that fires 56 feet.

My brother's fire dart's great, In fact almost better then the other NERF guns we have.
Seems like they have varying quality to them.
In the meantime, I'm looking for a new blaster and I'm thinking Buzz Bee this time around. The double-barrel shotgun and the western rifle are on sale at my local Walmart. Which should I get? The rifle looks too cool so I'm leaning towards that.
I have them both, and they're both decent.
The double barrel is actually relatively powerful, at least once you saw the barrel off. You can always take out the air restrict things as well. It's really reliable and won't jam, seeing as it is, albeit plastic, a double barrel shotgun.
The lever action is pretty good as well, although not nearly as reliable. Especially when you use the magazine that comes with it, it likes to not eject the casing fast enough, and causes the next bullet to get stuck, and usually ends up in a broken dart. Cycling the gun and watching the casing get ejected does look pretty cool though.
I, personally, like the double barrel a lot better. I use the magazine from the lever action, and stick it in my chest rig and use that to hold the casings for reloading the double barrel.
Going up to edinburgh in two days to see if they have the Barrel Breaks out , cannot wait to get them.
I wonder if you could buy two , chop the bottom half of the second one off and attach it to the top , and do some jiggery pokery to make it be fired and armed from the first's internals.
I'm more than sure it uses the exact same plunger mechanism as the Maverick.
which means it has maverick ranges; therefore, it is a slightly longer five-round maverick.

And folding stock, rail, and false suppressor.

Uses a smaller drum magazine (18 darts) and pumps like a shotgun.
The Nerf Stampede ECS will be released on September 9, 2010. Unlike the other coming Nerf releases, the Stampede is not exclusive to any particular store: you will be able to buy one wherever you like. And thanks to the good people at Nerf, I've had a chance to play with the gun and share my thoughts here with you.
Nerf Stampede ECS Review
The Nerf Stampede is an automatic blaster. It's a lot like the Vulcan in its execution, but there are a few primary differences:
The Stampede is way lighter than the Nerf Vulcan is. In fact, the Stampede is surprisingly portable, and can easily be carried and fired with the same hand (kids will have a hard time holding and firing with one hand, but it shouldn't be a problem for anyone 12 or older).
Whereas the Vulcan uses an ammo belt, the Stampede uses the clip system. And seeing as the Stampede is an automatic blaster with a high rate of fire, Nerf has introduced a new 18-dart clip with the launch of the Stampede.
The Stampede does not have an automatic pump mode, meaning that batteries are required.
Rate of Fire
In my testing, I found that the Nerf Stampede fires approximately three shots a second. If you don't want to go full automatic, firing single shots is also very easy to do, as the number of darts fired is determined by the length of time that you suppress the trigger.
Range
I was very pleased with the range on the Stampede. I'd estimate that most shots travel between 25-30 feet, which is really pretty impressive considering that the gun is battery operated.
Accessories
The Nerf Stampede comes with two primary accessories: The shield and the tripod. Both accessories are removable, and use the tactical rail -- meaning that they can also be used on other guns that feature the tactical rail in the Nerf N-Strike line.
In addition to using the clips that come with the Stampede, you can also use the drum from the Nerf Raider to further increase the dart capacity.
Darts
As with all clip system Nerf guns, the Stampede ECS uses streamline darts.
Use
The Nerf Stampede requires 6 D batteries to use. As mentioned above, there is no manual pumping mechanism, so this Nerf gun will not work without batteries.
Also, be aware that the Stampede does make a rather loud 'pew pew' sound when it's fired. While I find the sound pretty unoffensive, parents with children who might play with the Stampede for hours on end may want to make sure that they have a good spot outdoors in case the sound gets on your nerves.
I was not able to find a shut off switch for the sound effects, but ultimately the sound does serve a purpose -- it does a great job of masking the mechanical sound of shooting the gun (which would be far more annoying).
Conclusion
The Nerf Stampede ECS is an absolute blast to play with. It couples the rapid automatic action of the Vulcan, but it comes in a much smaller and manageable package. The rate of fire and range are both excellent, and in the end, any Nerf fan should be able to have a lot of fun with the Stampede.
Pick one up when they come out in September.
From http://nerfguns.org/
Alpha trooper was announced at least a month ago and it's pretty obvious the Stampede is the 9/9/10 gun.
Also, the Maverick already has a rail and the false suppressor decreases performance, so the only useful thing is the stock. I would much rather have a decent gun without accessories than a ~t@ct1c00l~ gun that fires three meters.
I cant join the fucking nerfheaven boards. If I enter my email it says it's not accepted by this board
what the fuck is this shit
they're elitist as fuck so if you don't want to be put on like a 3-month ban for the most ridiculous things don't join
I don't give two shits, I want some publicity for this one:

I absolutely hate where the rail is on the maverick, it's almost useless.
Also with NERF guns I like tactic00l stuff, I put that one barrel extender on my Recon and pretend its a suppressor so I feel like a spy.
Well, we must be of completely differing opinions then. Good day, sir.

My first NERF(ish) gun! Bought it two weeks ago.
Guys, you know the new automatic nerf rifle, the NERF STAMPEDE?
Guess what, it takes the 35-round Raider Drum Mag.
35 shot automatic Nerf Rifle.
This is the STG-44 of Nerf. :v:
The ECS in the name should have told you it accepts magazines.
You know, something i dislike about the Stampede is the lack of charging handle to be able to shoot it without using the batteries. Hell, even the Vulcan had that and it was a god damn LMG.
That revolver is freaking amazing.

Rated Agree x1. Hell, I would have accepted a faux charging handle so I could rack it whenever I replaced the magazine.
Now I want to mod my maverick so you cock it via the hammer.

I don't really see where.

Are you going to sell your modded guns?
Maybe when I can start selling my services as an artist.
Still I doubt anyone with a braincell would want them.
[editline]12:10AM[/editline]
Besides I'm socially ankward and paranoid so I'm scared to price and sell stuff especially over ze wide webs.

I disagree.
That doesn't stop me from rubbing butter all over my face.
