i have the one that fires glow in the dark darts, it is awesomeness
But could you imagine a NERF tank?
FTHOOP!
reactive armor that explodes into showers of darts
genius
I have many of them. Been unintentionally collecting them for a while. I've got the Firefly (pretty effective, goes well with the mavericks), a pair of Mavericks (those things are amazing), a Hornet, the CS-20, the Vulcan (a battery exploded inside it though, so it sadly is now a single action), the Titan, the Deploy (I love it, its like the Laptop Guns from Perfect Dark), an EX-3 somewhere, and the Recon. The recon is soundly my favorite, primarily because of the feel, the appearance, and the massive capability for customization. My friend actually bought the Deploy at the same time I bought my Recon, but he gave it to me. Me and the same friend are thinking of getting a pair of the Longstrikes. I want it because its an effective sniper rifle, and he wants it because it rather closely resembles the M14. I'm also looking at getting the smaller of the two sword types (the blue one) and replacing my Vulcan.
My only real problem with the Recon is that the stock feels really flimsy, and like I'm going to break it when pulling out the extra clip.
I moded my old maveric and managed to get about 1 and 1/2 times the default strength, But I think I can take this further I might grab one of the cheaper pistols and mod it to fire airsoft, really take it to the limit see how much I can get out of it.
I have the Long shot CS-6. It's not at all good. I think the Longstrike would be much better.

You're mental, the Longshot is amazing especially after taking out the Air Restrictor.
HvZ's gun of choice is the Raider.
http://www.amazon.com/Raider-Rapid-CS-35-Blaster-Value/dp/B00284C4RS
It's mag fed with a drum, 35 dart capacity so you'll be hard pressed to run out. It's pump action using a handle which means you're not going to be fumbling with a bolt or slide. It can also be bump fired which means you just hold down the trigger and pump the gun and it shoots, so it has a pretty fast rate of fire. No batteries or anything either. Also comes with one of the best stocks released and is an overall perfect gun for HvZ.
You also get a fuckton of darts when you buy it. Yet for some reason I see people using Recons and Longstrikes, and they're the people that die first day.
I have a feeling once the Stampede comes out, that's all people will use. What with the 3 18-dart clips coming free, the battery power, etc.

Don't bother. The kind of spring required in airsoft to shoot a tiny BB even moderate speeds is crazy, at least in the world of plastic that is NERF.
I have a feeling once the Stampede comes out, that's all people will use. The Recon and the Raider will take the biggest hit.
The Stampede has a better mechanism than the Longstrike. It should shoot further, unless someone decides to put two AR-15 recoil springs in there and strip the gears in two shots.
Going to Toys R Us on Sunday to see if they have the Longstrike. Hope they do!

When me and my friend went to one back in June, they had about sixty of them. Hell, they had at least a dozen Vulcans.

I've also been thinking of making a suit as a Chief for a Nerf Military. Similar to Halo 1's Master Chief... haven't got it planned... only in my brain.
EDIT: Just checked UK's site of Toys R Us... Barrel Break?!?
You can remove the long portion of the barrel, and it turns in to a sort of assault rifle.
Well , I got the barrel break.
Thing is so bloody fun to use.

I think I should make a review for those youtube fags , the only current ones on are done by two twelve year olds.

My little bro painted one of his nerf guns yesterday with the neighbor kid. One of the old single-shot pistols. It looks nice, but it needs some touching-up. Should I upload pictures of it?

Sure, this thread needs to be livened up a bit.
My cousin has this thing. It's not made by nerf but it fires their darts and is pretty reliable.

Not anywhere near done yet, the black is a primer but I think I might keep the stock and the grip black. Thoughts?
Reminds me a lot of a 40k lasgun, that would be cool
I recently finished modifying my nerf longshot. Added an extra spring, removed the air restrictors, reinforced the boltsled, and painted it (obviously). It works a lot better now.

Nothing special,
The only thing not shown is a modded Nightstrike.
Nerf is awesome.
I got the same shotgun as the above post, also sawnoff, and some crappy automatic.
I just got my Longstrike and I really like it. It fires well, and actually seems to be slightly lighter than the Recon. The only issue I've noticed is that it seems to fire better without the extended barrel. It makes sense though considering it builds up a lot of friction sliding along, which is probably why it is ridged instead of smooth like the others.
Generally the barrel extensions adversely affect performance, unless they're custom cpvc/brass barrels that are flush with the dart.
I got the Longstrike! They had a few in Swindon, £40... Not so cheap isn't it?
