Is that the one you glued the recon slide to? If you had cut it differently you probably could have used its rails. In fact, if you don't plan on doing anything with the recon's barrel attachment you could probably cut the rails off of that.

Also you're using hot glue, right? Try using the hot glue gun to melt the glue off of your recon slide so you can re-cut it.
