I'm not buying that just because of the annoying as hell sound it makes when you turn it on. What the hell is it anyway? Why doesn't it only make that sound when you pull the trigger. Why is it winding constantly when all it needs to do is wind one full cycle each shot...? [sp]Second video[/sp]

[sp]Second video[/sp]
It's because it's a flywheel gun. It works on a similar principle to those battery operated foam disk shooters.
That pistol looks tasty.
Hey guys, im new at this shit and i wanna shoot some things. Whats the best dart gun out there? [editline]06:41AM[/editline] and i want it to fire fast yet have good range and accuratecy
Can anyone confirm that this is, in fact, real? LOL BARRICADE
It is real. Supposedly releases in Winter '10 or early '11. Also, wait 2 weeks for the Stampede, Sergei.
Ooh, this Barricade looks interesting. All of a sudden, auto NERF guns are coming out of Hasbro's ears. Hopefully soon they won't need fricking D batteries. :argh: [editline]06:27PM[/editline] Great, now nobody's gonna know what I'm talking about. And this one:
There.
3 AA. You're safe.
I'd like the barricade if not for the fact that it's not magazine-based.
I like the look of that barricade. I love my maverick. Making it automatic can't hurt unless its substantially worse in accuracy and power.
I like the look of that barricade. I love my maverick. Making it automatic can't hurt unless its substantially worse in accuracy and power.
It seemed to be just as powerful as the others. It's an interestingly Sci-Fi take on gun design. I bet with proper modification, you could make it fully-automatic.
Maybe you can make some Frankenstein Vulcan/Barricade hybrid. Like with the ammo belt or something.
The only conventional use I can think of for NERF guns at this point in my life is Humans v. Zombies. And holy hell, that is a perfect reason to invest money in this kickassery.
The only conventional use I can think of for NERF guns at this point in my life is Humans v. Zombies. And holy hell, that is a perfect reason to invest money in this kickassery.
What other reason would anyone need?
Then hook it up to 18 D batteries like that one Vulcan mod and it'll shoot 600 rounds per minute.
18 D batteries
It's a revolver.
It's a revolver.
But now its a revolver with a chain belt that shoots 600 rounds per minute.
I like the look of that barricade. I love my maverick. Making it automatic can't hurt unless its substantially worse in accuracy and power.
Well, if the cylinder is turned by a motorized mechanism it could be made fully automatic, but if it uses the same system as the Maverick then it would be a bit more complicated. I think the best thing to do would be to put some foam around the motors so they're not so loud, I've been killed several times when I played NERF with my friends because they could hear my Tommy 20 coming from like around corners and stuff. :saddowns:
it's a flywheel :sigh:

Also, you can clearly hear the RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR sound on the second video at the top of the page.
I'm going to kill myself now.
When there are clearly better technologies and perhaps even cheaper, this is saaaaad :gonk:
The gun's $16. What do you expect?
Mother fuck god damnit why did it have to be a fly wheel. Ugh atleast it's not that bad price wise
I feel slightly dumb for asking this, but what's so bad about it being a flywheel?
The only conventional use I can think of for NERF guns at this point in my life is Humans v. Zombies. And holy hell, that is a perfect reason to invest money in this kickassery.
Really though the majority of Nerf Guns are pretty piss poor for HvZ mainly because you're shooting a slow moving projectile with drop after 10 feet at fast moving targets trying to tag you. Couple this with the issue of difficulty in reloading, low shot capacity, and not being semi-automatic. The Raider seems to be the best gun for HvZ, I like a lot of Nerf guns for aesthetic reasons and some are pretty cleverly designed. But for trying to shoot a 'zombie' you mine as well be using a musket.
I feel slightly dumb for asking this, but what's so bad about it being a flywheel?
It's loud as hell and it has to spin up before every shot.
Oh, I thought a fly wheel was something else. Makes more sense now.
Shame there's really no HvZ games in my area.
Way to teach kids gun violence. Bravo.
